How do i feel amazing without needing psychedelics?

35 posts in this topic

I feel very grateful for the life that i have, i don't think i ll ever felt so grateful before, honestly. Just the fact that i breathe and that i'm healthy makes me so grateful.

I can see that i'm able to enjoy ordinary and simple things so much more if i compare to the past.

I'm basically doing amazing lately.

But i feel some itch: i feel fooled by life. I might be the one that's fooling myself around, because i feel fooled by god, which is me. I feel castrated, i feel like i'm not able to express my full potential. Especially without psychedelics. I mean: if i take psychedelics once a month i feel amazing for 3/4 days, but after a while the magic starts to disappear. And i'm trying so badly to try to reach that state of mind without the psychedelic itself: i'm trying fasting, meditating a lot, being as healthy as possible, no social media, no sugar, no music, no caffeine. But still at the end i just feel fine. BUT I WANT TO FEEL AMAZING ALL THE TIME IN ANY SITUATION, WHATEVER AND WHEREVER! If i don't feel amazing i feel like i'm wasting my full potential.

How do i feel amazing all the time? I don't want to feel just good. I want everything. I want everything to be perfect. and i know that i'll never reach perfection by changing the outside and i must work on the inside, and that's what i'm trying to do. But i feel blocked...do you have any suggestion?

p.s. this is an intresting thing i've noticed lately: i don't use weed often. Maybe once a month, or even less. Last week i had few puffs of hash alone, and i tried to use it as a psychedelic tool, and then i did my meditation. And then i came to the conclusion that weed makes me feel so good. I basically feel like i took a microdose of lsd plus a little bit more sedated, i feel so much more present while doing my things. And i'm ashamed of admitting how much it makes me feel good. And i'm trying so much to reach that state of mind naturally, because i can obviously see that if i start consuming weed often (like a habit) i'll make a distaster for sure.

Hey—take it easy. So glad you don’t feel any negative effects and you’re just trying to feel great! :D

It sounds like you are walking a fine line, though.

Please—don’t overdue the psychedelics. You sound like you have a strong mind. I’d hate to see you ruin it.

No shame in enjoying weed or wanting to feel good but you’ll have to consider shadow work or how often this goes into hedonism.

There is also a general intuition in me that worries this could all be covering up something more traumatic. But I will not make any assumptions.

Taking what you said at face value, I’d try and focus on getting these states sober—even if it’s only for a second.

Consider this video from Leo. I think a lot of people may have missed this one. It may be just what you need.

PS—life will never constantly feel ‘as good as it gets.’ But you can practice the feeling for when you need it. :D

what you consider trauma? because i can see that i had so many "extreme" and "particular" life experiences, but i don't consider them traumas. every experience has an influence on ourselves obviously, and there is no good/bad. also bad experiences in the end are good.

Anything you haven’t gotten over, I suppose. I don’t like to compare levels of trauma, despite there being obvious extremes.

It doesn’t even have to be something traumatic, really. A person could just be trying to escape reality in general too.

Maybe you’re like me and just had an unconventional childhood.  I don’t feel traumatized, but I don’t feel normal either.  I’ve definitely tried to escape that feeling.

Ever talked to anybody about this?

For you, there is a good and bad.

You’re smart, but sound naive or exhausted :)

Idk—I don’t want to pick your brain more than you’ll let me.

I don’t want you to want to change your past.

But you did mention ‘bad things’ now. They do exist—even if you’re really good at contextualizing it and being optimistic.

I’m an ENFP—if you read up on ENFPs—we can always find a reason to be positive. But also, if you go read up on ‘us,’ you’ll see the tradeoffs for that.

I love your energy. It kind of reminds me of me. I have been living with very little, so to speak and I’m remarkably happy still.

I just turned 25 and I’m having a total quarter life crisis.

On one hand—I’m so very happy. I have my instruments. I can work whenever I want. I have full autonomy at my job. My family relationships have been somewhat reconciled, etc.

But I’m going to want more money, especially if there is a medical issue or possible suffering. I want to move out of my current apartment. I want a dog, a wife, vacation—you know all of the regular stuff.

But I convinced myself good was bad and bad was good for awhile, like yourself.

You’re actually 100% correct, though. That’s the hardest part. You’re technically correct. There is no good or bad.

So, I make up the difference between good and bad now. I don’t see them generally, though.

I’m sure you will make something up at some point too. Just maintain responsibility of your health above all else, if it’s going to be a bit for you.

You're learning how to dream within the dream.

What's happening is you're physically sick. And are not recognizing this physical illness as an illness. Instead, it has been conditioned for you to believe that what you're experiencing is normal. And you view this as your default state.

What you have to be working on is state maxing.

This means having a connection with yourself and your environment to figure out what is affecting your state at every moment.

The reason you love psychedelics is because it's spiking your state to The best version it's gonna get and then you have a come-down to normality.

State maxing means every time you eat, you understand how that directly affects your high.

You are high right now on Everything, every time you eat It affects your high, how you feel, your psychology and mental energy levels.

Your sleep quality is by far the most important thing you could do so that you get the best possible natural high.

At the beginning I said you are sick, what that means is that you are unconscious to how you're losing your high every day.

The things to go work through is one, the air you are breathing, which is screwing up your high. Thus the indoor air quality is a disaster. Next is the lack of exercise. Exercise is not optional, it's not a choice. If you don't exercise, it destroys your high. Next, high quality sleep is not optional, it will destroy your high.

How is this post just me acting out my ego in the usual ways? Is this post just me venting and justifying my selfishness? Are the things you are posting in alignment with principles of higher consciousness and higher stages of ego development? Are you acting in a mature or immature way? Are you being selfish or selfless in your communication? Are you acting like a monkey or like a God-like being?

All good. Also, here are some things to look out for that are directly affecting your high, that likely society or any media will never expose you to.

1) The clothes you are wearing are directly affecting your high. If you want to experiment to see what if this is true, just rub egg yolk all over your skin. And you're going to notice you're going to get sick. This is happening because your skin is the largest organ in the body and it absorbs and reacts to everything it comes to contact with. And so your clothing, which is bathing in laundry detergent, or built from synthetic materials, triggers a nervous system reaction, which is messing up your high.

2) The air is having a massive impact on your high and your nervous system. And most indoor air comes with about two major effects. Either it suppresses nervous system causing fatigue that accumulates over time, like people in an office area. Why are they exhausted at the end of the day? It's because they're breathing toxic air, From Cologne, laundry detergent, perfumes, shampoo, cleaning products, the entire office space is the accumulation of everyone coming in there and inhaling all of this. And so after a couple of hours, everyone in the office is exhausted And they have to force themselves to do work. By the end of the day, they want to die. lol

3) Food is less important than the stuff I mentioned above, unless you have an allergy that you're unconscious of which will have a severe impact on your high.

4) Exercise is the best anti-inflammatory you could do and it will change all of your hormones completely changing your high. It's good to do when you have to get high. lol

That is not possible. That's a very wrong expectation.

You cannot always feel good because how will you feel when a psychopath spears you with a pitchfork?

Consciousness of God cannot guarantee you will always feel good.

Anything that feels good means you can feel bad. And every emotional high must end because it had a beginning. Emotions are inherently unstable.

Ironically, the solution is to surrender to the fact you will feel bad.

Gurus do not always feel good. They have stopped caring how they feel. That means they feel bad and they don't care.

You trying to escape or avoid bad feelings is an avoidance of Truth. Truth includes bad feelings.

Basically, just stop caring how you feel and pursue your life purpose and creative work.

I can certainly relate to what you mean. That is the price one pays for profound psychedelic experiences; by contrast, everyday life can seem colorless and flat.

It’s unrealistic to expect to feel "amazing" all the time, though it is possible to feel completely content consistently.

If you use psychedelics regularly, you have to come to terms with this contrast and accept that you will only feel "amazing" on occasion. Personally, I find that difficult to sustain in the long run. My current approach is to either pack a number of psychedelic experiences into a period of one to three months and then do a long break, or to use them very sparingly like only once or twice a year.

That way lies ruin. So be careful.

one to three months and then do a long break,

i havent had a true psychedelic exp., in a long time. Or ive not had one via taking anything in a long time. The last time i did, my friend and i discussed how we would do it, and we both sounded enthused, until i started describing the experiences, reminiscing on experiences of the past, And you could see my friends smile fixate, as if ya could see his internal-wheels turning, churning, as if you could almost see his brain say like, "look at this fake smile now, as im not doing it again, as its not for me, nope". Like his enthusiasm and color left his face, realizing he had mismanaged his priorities in that moment of self reflection.

So the thought of doing a psychedelic was more of an afterthought at that point, cause like on some lvl, he was getting pushed away by the thought of that picturesque madness, like diiving into a painting of creation, atleast the more i described it, the more you color left his face (his smile still entact though)

In my mind i was still like "Yes, lets go"! although i often appear to be the person havent the worst time, i end up being the quite psycho whos willing to go back in... And its funny how that works, yes?

All the people smiling and enjoying theirselves, for all intents and purposes, they're the ones who always are like "hey, ya know wat, on second thought ill pass".

I mean, it sounds like a fun exp., until its happening (lol, thats how i feel), like it turns out, in this extreme psychedelic case, as i feel its always quite extreme, only those willing to go all the way — those whose egos have really vanished, they are willing to let it disappear, because its like trying to find ourselves via absence... finding something, even if its an act of losing something.

Or the willingness to lose ourselves, even if it turns out to end at th'point of feeling whole (eventually)

Where those who had good experiences feel settled, finished ~ like theyve already reinvented theirselves ~ so on some lvl they already have come away w/ what, or who they want to be, And i'm sure others have had different experiences. Thats just how ive felt of it.

Stop telling yourself the story that you're blocked and actually do the inside the work which will eventually lead to you giving yourself the happiness you deserve and desire since nothing and no one in the external can do that for you.  Which some psychedelic experiences should have revealed to you at one point or another or so I would think.

I can only speak from my experience but when the psychedelic got wind that I was using it as an escape it simply reminded me where the real freedom was which was my free will choice to feel however I wanted in the only moment I have access too - right now.

That doesn't mean there won't be anger, sadness, grief, elation, impatience felt at times it just means those states are no longer dominate your overall internal state of being to your personal detriment.
