@Atb210201 Banning childporn hasn't succeeded in eliminating it entirely. Even when you go to prison for it and get stabbed. If there's a will there's a way. You will succeed even less at banning porn in general. It's just an excuse for authoritarianism in practice.

That's just the same as saying we can't do anything about anything everyone will just do what they want and we can't prevent anything from happening so let's just let it be as it is.

Everyone in the UK and their dog is already using VPNs to watch porn. Even if you ban VPNs they'll just find another way to circumvent your ban in 5 minutes tops. And all over some porn. It's a battle you can't win. Be real.

My point was get rid of the porn not restrict the ways to reach it.

It is possible but maybe we need to get ready for it step by step and gradually comeback.

I think we are headed there sooner or later the world will get rid of porn altogether.

Anybody with a phone can film porn, banning creation is probably harder than banning consumption

Has it though? People are actually having less sex on average now than they did in the past. If anything, porn lowers the amount of promiscuity in the world

There is so much existing porn already, I dont get why new porn needs to be created unless for some specific new fetish or something. The evil was already done, just reuse all the existing stuff.

I'm not gonna trust it.

Even if it is true it could also be the result of porn that people don't have real relationships anymore.
