Humans Are Filthy Pigs (Groupthink Rant)

10 posts in this topic

As someone who does consciousness work/ Pure Philosophy regularly, you have to think about why people don't do this stuff. Practically no one is doing legitimate truthseeking aside from Leo, Peter Ralston, and some other spiritual people. Academic philosophers don't do it, and scientists certainly don't do it.

After thinking about it for a while, I realized that the reason why no one does it is not intelligence (the ego wants to think it's more intelligent than others), it's something else. It's a combination of openmindedness, resistance to groupthink, independence of thought, and genuine desire for truth. Plenty of people with lots of cognitive firepower are absolutely deluded -- in fact, basically all of them.

Most people don't realize that their mind is a SHITSTAIN. It's literally too disgusting to come anywhere close to truth. Watching back Leo's podcast with DemistifySci, they don't realize that the reason they don't understand truth is because their mind is a shitstain! They are zombies that lack the consciousness to come anywhere close to knowing what an Absolute is.

People are too lazy to spend time truthseeking and then act like they are not deluded zombies. Like, hello... you are a deluded zombie! You don't know what you're speculating about! You really think you can touch God before washing the shit off of yourself??

The only way not to be deluded is to open your heart to truth. It's a simple decision to have a pure mind that is open to receiving whatever truth it might experience, and totally fine with knowing nothing forever.

People who think truth is theorizing have no idea what the depth of truth is. And the reason for all of this is that people are too connected to the hive mind of mankind. Humans are ignorant, filthy pigs; why would you connect yourself to their hive mind? Think for yourself. Think beautiful thoughts. That's all there is to life.

The only way to know God is to keep your mind open for a whole lifetime.

What is this? That's the only question.

You have adopted Leo's rhetoric.

It is far easier to fool someone, than to convince them they have been fooled.

I know, but it's kind of true.

I think there's a certain purging process that comes from going full misanthrope every once in a while. Being a spiritual misanthrope is an especially fun form of it.

It's worth going through the process of being upset with low-consciousness people, then integrating it and coming to a more loving perspective.

@AtmanIsBrahman Oh - rhetoric is not a comment about the substance of your posts.

It is the way it is said and the type of language you employ to make the point.

It's important not to develop a spiritual ego. Most humans just want to avoid pain and survive, and life can get quite difficult. Think about the huge number of people living in places like India, parts of Africa, North Korea, Afghanistan, Yemen, Sudan, Myanmar, etc. Not to mention all the people who were born into a church or some sort of environment where they were essentially forced to be indoctrinated, constantly scared for their survival, and in need of quick, practical, functional (not "truthful/self-reflective") solutions, both on a micro level, as in human-to-human interactions, and on a macro level, as in systems, countries, biology, etc. Spirituality and this work, as much as people might not want to admit it, is much easier to pursue if you've mostly had a cushy or decently lucky life.

The truth is that a lot of this work can actually be counter to survival, and many people first need to go through stage blue, then orange (and orange will require a LOT of filthy pragmatism because you'll also be playing against filthy pragmatism), just to get their lives to a point where they can finally have some breathing room to even think about these things. To be able to contemplate, to educate themselves, to even become literate enough to understand what this work is about in the first place.

And by the time you get there, you might already be 30+, 40+, or 50+, dealing with health problems, responsibilities, and feeling "trapped" in a certain job, family structure, children, lifestyle, etc. All of these things can make it incredibly painful and difficult to just change everything, move on, and build an entirely different life that would actually allow you to pursue this work.

The issue is that the "system" is structured in such a way that you're essentially being indoctrinated from the moment you're born, before you even know anything about the world. You might have indoctrinated parents, indoctrinated teachers, an indoctrinated religion, and an indoctrinated idea of what success, career, and life itself should look like. By the time you're 25, you've already absorbed so many of these concepts that changing them becomes incredibly difficult, especially because you've spent your entire life forming an ego, identity, and personality around them.

And that's without even mentioning how relatively new it is to have access to social media, to freely browse forums, to access unregulated information, or to live in an environment where someone like Leo can openly share these ideas without being killed for it. These are all relatively recent developments in human history. We're only now beginning to evolve in this direction, and we'll continue evolving.

Are there people who don't appreciate life, kindness, or the opportunities they have? Of course. But I feel like most people are simply trying to survive and are largely products of this whole quote-unquote "system." They didn't consciously choose most of the circumstances, beliefs, or environments that shaped them, and many are just doing the best they can with what they've been given.

And if you feel frustrated by that, then recognize the flaws in the system and try to change them. Post content, host events, spread awareness, educate people, or do whatever you feel deeply passionate about that might actually help.

You won't help anyone by remaining bitter toward people for being the products of circumstances they often had very little control over. You'll just end up developing a spiritual ego, looking down on others, and becoming no better than the very people you're criticizing.

No worries.  Eventually everything goes the way of the dinosaur and human is on its way out.

It's kinda necessary if you want to actually access truth.

I think is hard to develop a respect for truth if you haven't done psychedelics or accessed higher degrees of consciousness yourself. Otherwise you don't know what you don't know. Unknown unknowns vs known unknowns.

Is more like most people are too distracted with shiny objects.
