I’m not a pervert. Please apologize. That’s not fair.

This sentence combined with the profile pic is just comedic gold.

Aesop’s “The Wolf and the Lamb.”

A wolf wanted to eat a lamb drinking downstream. But he wanted an excuse.

He accused the lamb of muddying his water.

The lamb explained that water flowed from the wolf toward her. She couldn’t muddy anything upstream.

The wolf changed accusations: she had insulted him last year.

The lamb explained she hadn’t been born then.

Then it must have been her brother, the wolf insisted.

She had no brother.

Finally, the wolf blamed someone in her family and ate her anyway.

I’d be curious how the men here feel and react when they cry.

In my opinion, crying is a masculine trait to have as a man regardless of intent.
A strong man doesn't care to be perceived as weak for crying like a crybaby.
Only a man who needs his ego validated by a woman wouldn't cry at all.

The intent can be authentic vulnerability
or shedding fake tears in order to manipulate the woman.

A truly strong man wouldn't care to be perceived as strong or weak by women. Ego reduced to absolute zero.

Stop derailing the thread. Especially with obnoxiously sexual posts.

:/ you gave the attention they really wanted. I’m usually just an appetizer/bait. They can rest for now but do not be mistaken, they’ll be back.

Yes, I agree.

As a man, I didn’t believe this for the longest time until the strongest man I knew collapsed in my arms, bawling.

I had never seen him cry. And I realized his greatest strength was also his greatest weakness.

What emotions / feelings come up for you? Sympathy, heartbreak, disgust, sadness, pity etc

So you feel compelled to action?

Sympathy. Urge to hug, comfort.

I’m very comfortable around crying because I cry pretty much every day, sometimes a few times even. Crying has lost the taboo for me, it’s run-of-the-mill, not very big/shocking/impactful. So when I see someone cry I’m not very shocked/impressed, but I do feel sympathetic of course, and the urge to comfort/give love arises.

Enough warning points and they won’t be. Some just don’t learn.

If I was a mod there’d be a lot more ‘timeouts.’

A lot of Leo asking ‘where did so and so go’ and me responding ‘they’ll be back in 72 hours, I transferred them to a ghost forum and they haven’t figured it out yet.’

Boop—bring ya back. ‘See how silly all that was? Wouldn’t you rather stay in the real forum?’

There’d be a little trauma… but respect too. I have babysat a good amount of kids and they are remarkably okay despite my best intentions.

Sometimes they want the timeout. Sometimes you just give them what they want. Sometimes they don’t want it anymore, you remind them that actually—they kind of did.

Boop. All better! Looks who is not being a perv on the forum anymore!

What makes you think there aren't? :D

Timeouts are common for certain types of users.

@meta_male @Monster Energy @Schizophonia

You guys have been doing this same juvenile routine for ages. It’s not particularly clever, funny, or original. It’s just predictable and tiresome.

And before the inevitable “lighten up” response, I have nothing against humor. I just don’t think repeating the same adolescent bullshit every time someone tries to have a conversation is much of a personality.

Fair enough one could argue I was too impulsive to make a joke like that here after all; I viewed the thread as essentially random and not particularly serious given how obvious the answers to such a question are, so i did; maybe it was an error.

But your reaction reveals that you’re actually triggered by my persona, likely because contrary to what you claim you aren't intellectualy good or even effective in everyday life, so you cling to a rigid persona to monkey professionalism. A bit like a compulsive eater who calls other people gluttons, or that African man my father knew who was always in a suit with a briefcase lol even though he wasn't making any money.

I have several personal projects that I’ll be posting on this forum; I’d say sometime in January or February at the very latest, along with a video debate featuring Lordfall. It will involve genuine personal and intellectual development work like you love, supposedly.

@Sincerity

Hurting yourself, manifesting in this instance as daily crying, while simultaneously speaking like a sadistic teacher about putting warning points or labeling people "problematic" here and there when you hold a position of hierarchical superiority such as on this forum is paranoid.

There is a difference between setting boundaries which is a necessary step in certain contexts and is not personal, and splitting others into "good" and "bad" objects. The latter is damaging because you end up being dismissive of others or harsh toward yourself, as matters become personal and so emotionally charged; if what I’m saying makes sense.

@Schizophonia why is crying hurting yourself?

Problematic? It's behaviour not character?

Because it means you can't leave yourself alone; you can't help but directly blame yourself for things, or voluntarily expose yourself to things that stimulate your sensitivities like sad music, videos of kittens abandoned in garbage cans lol, or anything.

@Schizophonia Nope. Off the mark.

I’m just letting things out. I’m not hurting myself - quite the opposite. I just listen and let out, and then continue to go about my day.

I prefer not to hold things in. It saves energy. It’s worth it to be energy efficient. Repression is a costly activity.

It’s manly, by the way. 😛 Hehehe.
