It seems like sometimes people are thinking of God as the other and sometimes they are identifying with God as Me.  For thinking types especially, I'm surprised this is not made more clear.

This immediate life is already wide awake,the belief in a “ someone “ who awakens is an illusion. That’s the whole story that this thread was pointing to.

God is convinced hes a human on a planet using the internet to talk to something or someone outside of himself/herself.  

You have to appreciate the level of realism at work when even God can get lost in the illusion and think this shit show is really happening.

Continuing then…allow me to resume getting back to the actual thread topic...

Waking up is a double edged sword, it works both ways the way all dualities work.

Consciousness. Is both a blessing and a curse. Take your pick. Choose your preference. You are obviously going to prefer one part of the dream in favour of the other, let’s not kid ourselves here.

 

1: There’s the waking up to the realisation / recognition that separateness is an illusory appearance in the mental form known as an idea within what is ultimately one seamless interconnected whole. 
 

2: There’s the waking up to the realisation/ recognition that wholeness is never your aka a humans actual experience. And yes, you are an human being, no matter how much you piss and moan or  reject that thought, you cannot escape your human form. Therefore you are inevitably a fragmentation, a fractal if you prefer that terminology. But you are never the totality. And so separation is all you will ever experience, and will be all you’ve ever known of your entire fleeting and temporal existence, separation is your lot, from cradle to grave.

The idea that humans were never meant to wake up from the dream of separation means that feeling like an isolated individual is the core design of the human experience.

So good luck to all you’s who pretend they’re not the ones who are feeling their feelings, because you are. And also don’t forget to remember that your inevitable death will simply make a mockery of your life, this happens to the very best of us, no one is spared, or saved, or given special superpowers that they become immune from its almighty pull.

I would say that since the separate me began to unravel, emotions are experienced more intensely, but they also tend to flow through a lot quicker.

I definitely don't wanna go back to the days where I felt stuck in one emotion for days on end.

That has been my experience too actually, my emotions are felt intensely to the point where I’m overwhelmed by grief not just for myself but for the whole of humanity, it’s like I’m taking on everyone’s suffering all at once including what animals have to go through.

But then these emotions quickly fade, they never linger for very long. At most, I live in a constant state of equilibrium and a kind of comfortable numbness. But when the floodgates open I just do not resist the outpouring of grief that wants to unleash…I just ride those waves like a pro, and accept them for what they are without fear. Because I understand it’s all part and parcel of the human condition. The fact that I can survive, have survived being my true self of both dark and light helps me to be compassionate and develop great empathy for the rest of humanity.

I very much relate to that … there’s a place of complete peace and harmony within my own self, a place that nobody else but me resides. I’m so grateful to have found that place. It had been there all along, I just didn’t realise it because i used to be so busy filling it up with all kinds of nonsense and crap, I didn’t realise I could just empty it out. Like we do with all our trash. .

You won’t get stuck, that’s the fear everyone seems to be so fearful of, being stuck.

You will however swing back and forth though. And that’s the good news because the movement between not feeling and feeling mean stuckness has nowhere to land, stuck is not going to become stuck forever. Thank goodness for mental shifts.
