I was on the couch playing Minecraft when I realized that everything was nothing / nothing is the substance of reality.

Was it due to Minecraft?

Shit!

What I mean to say is if you have enough realizations (sober or otherwise) eventually the shock factor dies down.

For myself nowadays, when I remember who I AM I just feel a huge sense of relief.  The "holy shit cosmic event i love everything" portion died down for me as I integrated the lessons.

Well, there are many more things happening, but never numbness or drunkenness like I can get from alcoholic beverages. Although there could be psychedelics that might harm my body or make me mentally unstable over time, I don't know.

Sure.

I should have written "A Sudden Awakening Experience Without Psychedelics".

I'm not sure.  But there are options and I tried to state them from my perspective.

@Willy Phallicus, I thought about your post to mean something else and jokingly replied. 😄

I assume that would happen when I have more experience. I have too few experiences.

How so?

I understood that you think that options like the following are good when not using psychedelics:

The best sober enlightenment work IMO is do nothing meditation.  You can spend a day doing this.  I still do this.  You meditate all day.

I think it was THC, right?

Yes! Sometimes it’s just THC, sometimes it’s THC + CBD. I just follow my intuition and use what feels right in each moment.

You can do both.

Sort of like a concentration meditation.

I find it interesting and frightening at the same time that there is a possibility of having a sudden intense Awakening experience sober that is equally profound when

Probably even more profound.

That and the do nothing method worked for me.  I will probably start meditating again.  I prefer the concentration meditation the most.  Make the Buddha dance.

Psychedelics are unmatched, at least for me.

Both of my biggest were sober, funnily enough!

Both from unbearable suffering reaching a horrible climax :(

I worked out what happened after the fact.

It is far easier to fool someone, than to convince them they have been fooled.

It's no easy thing, especially when you are suffering.

Dreams at night — when reality goes haywire for some time after getting bored of stability. 😄

I'm not being dragged into another reality; reality transforms in another way.

It's really profound when you think of nightly dreams as a continuation of waking reality and vice versa, not being dropped into another reality, as it implies that you are some entity that is inside that reality.

The idea that dreams happen in your sleep is misleading.

It's really cozy when you believe that dreams are sort of a fake reality that happens in your brain in your waking reality. Man, what a construction. That's like the feeling you get when a war happens in another country, but you are safe enough to not care about it.

Crazy things happen in your nightly dreams, you die, kill someone, fly in the sky, etc. And yet you come back as a human! All of that is real as hell without even needing your waking reality's brain!

It's like when you decide to have fun after your studies.

It really gets on my nerves when people say that nightly dreams tell you something about your waking life; they are meant to be interpreted symbolically. Those people don't appreciate the realness of it as they still believe that it's less real and it happens outside of one's waking reality. They even have books that list what it means when something happens in your dreams. 🥴
