Star Wars - Megathread

I'm trying to make the greatest IP of all time with my current project Legend of the Abyss

In the process I'm studying the other greatest IPs of all time and after making a Marvel thread

We're now doing Star Wars. I loved the movies growing up but was never a mega fan. What really moves me is the medieval era so Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon are at the moment my favorite shows of all time. Star Wars is clearly phenomenal though and I'm currently rewatching all the movies and taking notes on them. Just watched Revenge of the Sith yesterday and took a bunch of notes on Obsidian which I synthesized in this article here

I was quite moved at how deep the story was and how sad Anakin's downfall is and it's due to George Lucas studying deeply Joseph Campbell and the Hero's journey to write his characters. I really like that sine as an INTP unrealistic plot lines and bad writing makes me want to jump out of a window head first. 

I just watched this video and although I do agree with some of his criticisms I still think that Star Wars is great and the stuff coming out is worth watching. I fucking loved Ahsoka and Shin Hati is my favorite Star Wars character by far. Who wouldn't want a Dark Jedi apprentice?

I think overall the multimedia adaptation of both Star Wars and Marvel is fascinating from a business ecosystem perspective and I'm studying all I can about it. 

Feel free to discuss whatever interests you about the Star Wars franchise and I have a few specific questions to lead the discussion.

The prequels had good, fresh ideas, just poor execution. Too much CGI and bad dialogue.

Disney Star Wars is creatively bankrupt slop. The epitome of committee thinking. Shows you why corporate people can't make art.

Andor was the best Star wars, they shall destroy the entire serie and give infinite budget to Tony Gilroy.

It felt like game of thrones in Star Wars, it was incredibly good.
If Star Wars had been what Andor had been, I would be a huge fan.

 

Andor was so good, a masterpiece, especially season 2.
Rogue one was also one of the best star wars movie, but didn't compare to Andor.

 

they need to recreate the entire star wars from 1 to 6 in complete serie with new actor in the vibe of Andor.

What didn't you like about the prequels? I watched them first growing up before the originals so I could be biased but I think they introduce more interesting characters than the originals.

Have you watched some of the shows or just the movies? The movies I think are much worse than the shows because they made it a cultural statement more than Star Wars.

I have not watched any Disney movies. Except Solo.

I watched Mando. It was mid.

I will not be watching any more Disney Star Wars. I am done.

I don't like Star Wars.

I only watched it because GPT used my memory and considered it would be the most adapted watch to my taste.

Despite it being Star Wars I trusted gpt to know me great by now, and he was right about it.

Haven't watched Solo yet, I'm gonna watch it after The Acolyte and the Obi Wan show. 

Do you have another series you like more than Star Wars?

AI recommendations are great. Not that long from now it'll create new shows out of thin air just for us personally to entertain us.

That's why I like the idea of web 3 assets to connect humans together over what we care about which is well money. Otherwise everyone will be in their own bubble of entertainment and relatability between humans will drop to an all time low. 

You're not really into sci-fi then? What are you into usually

could also plateau for a while.
Right now it's been plateauing super hard since +6 months.

The last true evolution of AI video was seedance ( february ) since then nothing ( and 2.5 is basically the same thing )

Same for imagine, gpt 2 / banana pro ( september last year )

ha alright the last gpt 4 months ago is also a nice jump but not a breakthrough.

 

But my date is more 2035 ( worst case scenario ), I've learned to be more pessimistic with age.
 

I believe in 2035 everyone will use AI for everything in cinema/video more than real shots.

I watched almost 2 times house of the dragon. (excluding last one, only once)
3 times game of  thrones. ( just not the last 3 seasons, only once those )

I also liked Silo which was cool, I do love sci fi in fact, I like dark stuff.

Fuck yeah House of the dragon was awesome. It's part of the inspiration for my story.

Seedance 2.5 I think turned one prompt generation to 30 seconds. Seems like it's getting pretty close to being able to anime whole shows and movies if you string together many prompts. I haven't tried it myself yet though, just what I've seen other people talk about.
