This is also veering slightly off subject, but ive asked a few of these arabic speaking families here if they know about the Genie in a bottle and like magic carpets, etc., and they dont know what any of that stuff is, And im upset.... thought this was like well known stories, And they dont know what any of that even is in the slightest. I guess its just gonna be all but forgotten then, oh well.

note, to be fair they also didnt know what Ancient arabia was either, so watever myth it comes from, watever desert location it relates to isnt well known, let alone is it like a public thing i dont think, iuno.

I've observed or sort of deduced that when you learn more about health on your own you become more and more an "alternative health" person. It could also be when you learn more and more about intellectual ideas on your own, you become more and more "woo woo".

"On your own" here would mean simply driven by your own interests and logic rather than the standard cultural conditioning or standard establishment thinking. If you look at the intellectual people I like, like Kastrup, Sheldrake, they're as woo woo as me and they are both quite independent thinkers (have existed peripherally or at odds with the establishment for long periods of time). Sheldrake unironically writes papers about whether the Sun is conscious ☀️👀

@kavaris science no doubt will embrace idealism, but that's not the core issue . Even in embracing idealism, they'll still be wedded to conceptual abstractions and imaginary mathematical objects. They'll just say "but these abstract mathematical objects are conscious," without dealing with the core issue .
