I think evil only makes sense from the perspective of a limited being. We experience suffering, cruelty and loss, so we naturally divide reality into good and evil. If God truly means everything, though, then nothing can exist outside of God — including the things we call evil.

That doesn't mean cruelty becomes morally acceptable. It just means that human morality and the question of what ultimately exists are two different levels of the discussion.

Evil is mostly based in destruction as opposed to creation. Usually it comes from small mindedness as you can usually achieve the same goal you were trying to achieve but in a creative way as opposed to taking the easy way out and destroying in the process.

Theft is an easy example, why are you stealing if you can engage in commerce and provide value to others and get paid for it.

Rape is another good example, why do you need to override another being's consent to get laid or to feel powerful? Learn some game and you will get all sex that you want in a loving way instead of being a destructive rapist.
