All success is driven by unhappiness

Success is a kind of addictive hallucination that masks the existential emptiness underneath.

Omg, that's such a good quote

God-Realize, this is First Business. Know that unless I live properly, this is not possible.

There is this body, I should know the requirements of my body. This is first duty.  We have obligations towards others, loved ones, family, society, etc. Without material wealth we cannot do these things, for that a professional duty.

There is Mind; mind is tricky. Its higher nature should be nurtured, then Mind becomes Wise, Virtuous and AWAKE. When all Duties are continuously fulfilled, then life becomes steady. In this steady life GOD is available; via 5-MeO-DMT, because The Sun shines through All: Living in Self-Love, Realizing I am Infinity & I am God

To me one usually needs to become successful and then transcend it . Burn the karma first . Don’t pretend you are in a place in your journey where you are actually not . Succeed then transcend your addiction to it.

“God is the Alpha Omega .. the beginning-less  beginning and the endless end .
He is the first without start . He is the last without end . He is the manifest actuality ..nothing covers him . He is the most hidden essence  ..nothing can grasp him .. nothing below him or more subtle than him .The ego is the belief I’m separate from god . Because being god is too good to be true .No matter how dark it gets or difficult it gets ..no matter how long it is going to take .. my destiny is the infinite happiness and infinite joy and love as the best thing ever ..God .  “

-that’s a me .

You are proving the point. This whole paragraph is examples of unhappiness and things that would drive you to success.

De Botton explains that even every thought is a solution to a problem and starts as soon as the mothers nipple is denied at infancy and the baby cries. It's all very deep (almost as deep as Leos videos). I recommend watching the first few minutes of the interview. It's profound.

PS I'm not saying success is bad but it has unhappiness as it's driver.

Nope. You can be perfectly happy and content and then still want to share more of your power and love with the rest of the world and step out of your bubble and keep achieving and doing more to create abundance for others and not be driven by your mental unhappiness.

Once more, you are creating a false dichotomy.

I wonder why you are drawn to this style of thinking? Do you feel like the pressure of the world is overwhelming and it's easier to focus on inward happiness and ignore anything communal or the collective issues we face as a species globally today?

LordFall is correct.

I feel like I am quite happy in life. Very happy actually, yet I am inspired as hell to create amazing stuff for humankind, and to express myself profoundly. Leave a poweful positive impact on humanity.

But I am very ambitious so it is hard for me to just sit still and be happy. If I was forced to do nothing, I would probably become unhappy.

I guess I would practice hardcore meditation then, and challenge myself. But that is also Doing.

No. It's either driven by fear or love. The way. the path, the flow, the current or a fight against it trying to go up river. Flow or resistance. The guy in the video has a one dimensional take on nature because he is able to see through the illusion that motivate people but he hasn't gone all the way. He has done some self reflection but he has drawn a conclusion that is an assumption based off of what he is aware of, but there is more to discover. All of reality follows the same way back to a seamless uncaused perfection and acceptance. This peace is not idle. It is a boundless cause for celebration and creation. You can become directly aware of this and align all your actions with it, or you can go against it and not align your actions with it. The former is a sense of wholeness and joy, people create what they love from here. The later is a sense of lack, people strive to fill this lack.

If you truly went all the way then you would would love unhappiness because you would realize it's the driver of all your actions. Instead you try and defend a stance (I'm guessing because the original claim made you unhappy) and make up a story that all your actions are an expression of love. You deny unhappiness exists in your life thus creating a shadow of it and self deception too.

Why create an abundance for others? Presumably because it would make you happy. You can't argue this. It's a well known fact that all our actions are geared toward happiness, but that implies we aren't currently happy. Accepting this fact and loving unhappiness is true transcendence. Being in denial is not developed thinking.

Nope. I share interesting things and ideas I find on the Internet because I'm bored and lonely like you. I'm not drawn to any particular style of thinking I'm able to hold many ideas simultaneously and this is just one of them. What's more telling is your need to argue against my ideas or try and project on to me that I'm feeling the pressure of the world.

You are the creator of your emotions and life. Not the victim of them. Why would you create unhappiness? If unhappiness drives you (which you choose to create whether you realize it or not) why not create something else? Don’t confuse acceptance with responsibility. I don’t deny anything. You misunderstand my post.

Yes, I think using false dichotomies caps our intellectual potential and leaves us arguing nonsense instead of actually making deep points that add values to our lives.

Why is it telling that I feel the need to deconstruct your ideas? Shouldn't you welcome new insights if you have blindspots to your thinking? To me when I see bad points I feel like I'm doing you a favour by adding to your ideas, if you don't appreciate and seek pure validation then that's more accurate honest signal of insecurity.

Someone that is selfless can get even more happiness from giving some to others but idk how else to tell you bro but the way you framed it is so bad that it leads to a dichotomy which is defined as two opposing points that miss nuance. You should want happiness for others and not just yourself if you are truly a high consciousness person and I think the way you phrased it shows deep spiritual bypassing which is also common in gurus that focus on their own internal peace without helping the world solve it's problems.

Let’s break this down to the fundamentals.

Unhappiness is an emotion.

You are the creator of your emotions, not the victim of them.

Emotion comes from belief / perception.

So you feel unhappy is actually “I believe, I want, I think…” example: “ I feel unhappy because I believe I don’t have enough success in life.” <- this statement implies you need success to be one/whole/love which is untrue.

If unhappiness is driving you it means you have a belief about reality that needs to be examined. It is not a flaw or a mistake nor a measuring stick of any kind of your worth or progress, feelings are perfectly imperfect. It is an internal alert system that is trying to reorient you with truth. That belief which you cloud with a feeling label needs to be tested against truth.

Obviously there’s more I can add here and how to do this, there’s more lessons and depth I can go into here on this, but I’m just saying this in relation to the thesis of this thread.

So if you feel a certain way which you then add the label of “unhappiness” I’d examine why you choose to create that unhappiness. Cease to do that, and see what’s left.

Stop deluding yourself and lying to yourself. Deep down you know what a jewel you have within and the power and responsibility it comes with. You really think unhappiness is all that drives humans and without it we would sit and do nothing? xD

Ok not a bad point. As I said I am able to easily see and switch between perspectives and don't particularly care about one or another. Nor am interested in arguing against or trying to debunk someone else's post. I see the truth in it and I feel like this is a higher way to live than argument.

Different question, have you started any posts recently?

I like the "post-rationalist" concept and I find that it really gets beyond a lot of issues, but you have to see the limitations of rationalism to get at it too.  But you never transcend the rationalist point of view entirely -- You build upon it.

Please note that none of what I’m saying is meant to be taken as another proving ground or carrot on a stick to chase after. I’m not saying there are areas of my life I wish were different nor that life doesn’t have a lot of responsibilities which can be challenging, sometimes some really really painful things happen in life. Feeling bad about something is not a mistake. It is not some defect and it isn’t evidence you haven’t grown or have had real spiritual insights. It’s a signal for looking inward, a return, an inner unfolding. From a certain perspective if you feel unhappy and see that as what you are wishing to escape because it’s painful I could see this sense of unhappiness as an absolute that drives everything but I’m saying look just a bit beyond that, the space between it. It’s absolutely possible to call on this space with every action and there is peace and joy in it when doing so.

I like your mindset, your ego is one of the smallest on this forum. Everyone else fights me vehemently when I deconstruct their points.

I have two main posts that mean a lot to me on this forum. One is my quest to become a millionaire here.

The other one is my passion project and perhaps my quest to becoming a billionaire if it works. My own worldbuilding project, Legend of the Abyss.
