Should you get into a relationship if your trying to build you pick-up skillset

Let's say you start doing cold-approach, get a couple of lays, you meet a girl and theres a connection. 

Should you get into a relationship, or keep focusing on approaching and building that skillset?  Whats your experience?

Relationships will teach you way more about women and sex than cold approaching and will also grow you far more as well in all areas of your life. 

But this is not to say that cold approach and social skills is a waste of time or just surface level. There’s a lot of lessons that come along with that as well.
