@LordFall You also dont have to die like that anymore. God created something where you can kill yourself with a needle and go peacefully. What a gift from God. God dosent care what you do there is no sin. You no longer have to suffer or smash your head in to die. You can enter deep meditation and then have someone inject a fluid that turns your system off.

Whenever you are in too much pain or dont want to enter retirement home, you can just do that.

Maybe it is the perception he is pushing slightly too hard to shift the Overton window regarding biological immunity? He appears to have accelerated his dialogue (the ceiling of ethics and morals are being pushed on a bit with this recent cloning/harvesting idea).

In the next 10 years most of the paradigms we thought were ironclad will be pushed to perhaps not infinity but us being able to extend lifespan a few hundred years and make humans functionally immortal with no doubt.

Many cutting edge labs all around the world are working on different aspects of biological transcendance as we speak.

One thing I don't quite grasp is why cloning was totally halted as a technology? Ethics are an issue, sure. And I may sound conspiratorial but I feel like research may have proceeded that the public isn't aware of. But I concede there may be reasons I am just not aware of. I remain ignorant.

Elon Musk, for neuralink, has wired up chimps with chips in their brains running experiments on them for his tech. You can find this stuff if you look. Lots of NDAs surrounding it. Some of the techniques are brutal. 

I don't want to go into conspiracy thinking due to forum rules. It just causes one to pause and wonder.

Its running from death. There is a very real chance that you or anyone dies tommorow. For no reason out of nowhere. 

The screen of life can go blank at any second.

I pondered the idea of becoming immortal seriously and deeply for a few years, about 11 years ago. I didn’t want to die. I wanted to live eternally. At that time, I believed it would be the greatest thing that could ever happen to me. But in the end, I realized I was completely wrong. It would actually be the greatest tragedy that could happen to me.

It doesn't matter how intelligent, how handsome, how strong, how charismatic, how healthy, how, grateful, how appreciative, how, joyful, etc I am. In the end, I am a little worm compared to God, the unlimited self who possess unlimited intelligence, beauty, joy, love, excitement, power, etc. This automatically means my capacity to feel good, to comprehend, to succeed, to feel grateful, to explore, to enjoy, etc are limited because I inhabit a human body that is limited in all domains. This eventually results in dissatisfaction and suffering.

It doesn’t even matter how beautiful or exciting the world becomes, because the world itself is still limited, and my ability to absorb and enjoy all its beauty is also limited. This surely leads to eventual dissatisfaction and suffering.

Suppose I found a way to conquer the suffering, I would still end up feeling bored for eternity. This would be the greatest evil God could inflict on me!

But I do support significantly extending the human life span. I think 200 years would be a good starting point. If that functions, then extend to 500 years, then to 1,000 years. I guess a limited human will suffer intensely after a few thousand years of life. The counterargument: "But humans will invent a technology that will upgrade their brain and spiritual capacity that will lead to eternal satisfaction." is weak. I don't and can't buy it.

Ponder this: You possess a limited human body but want an unlimited lifespan?

That would be a great mismatch, a big error.
