I eat kangaroo 3/4 times a week. It's actually wild, not farmed, so very healthy cheap iron rich meat. We cull the population because if we don't, they breed like rabbits, eat the land out and starve when resources plummet. The culled stock is turned into meat for consumption. The caveat is it needs to be cooked thoroughly otherwise parasites.

It's like beef, but leaner and slightly gamey in flavour. Very rich meat without a fatty sort of mouth feel. Has to be cooked on super high heat to seal the outside and keep moist. 

I do burgers or marinade it overnight then incinerate at on my baby weber bbq

@Ash55 the population overgrowth issue has been in Australia since European colonials settled I am pretty sure. I could be wrong. It happened because of changes in land use and cattle farming. 

The poor things rut like mad, eat all the grass and raze the land, then starve.

I love me some fatty meat also! Lamb shanks, marbled beef. I try to minimise my meat consumption. But due to the volume of exercise I do, and being a woman of breeding age, I have higher protein and iron needs. I don't thrive on non-heme iron sources
