I wouldn’t call it mystical, it was very ordinary actually. I remember being 5 years old and thinking how the fuck did I get here, the rest is just a very boring long story.

But there is still an ego there its just not yours.  It doesn't make sense to me, say, there is an ego but with no one to claim ownership.  The pure definition of an ego is that ownership. So sorry - I have to call bullshit.  I think you fooled yourself into thinking you are awake.  This is the kinda stuff that really scares me about advaita.

Objective reality isn't something sitting "behind" experience that we have to guess at. It has infinite facets, and our subjective hardware is simply one localized way it experiences itself. Using different tools, senses, or models doesn't create new illusions; it expands the bandwidth of the same objective system we've been interacting with the whole time.

Reality is a complex system so it evolves as we evolve alongside it. Saying we can't experience objective reality is like saying you can't experience Earth because you haven't been to Monaco or to the deep core of the earth. Reality is like a buffet that we get to experience over time! 

Speaking of buffets I find the ones with the chefs that make the omelets in front of you to be mind boggling, it's like a buffet and fine dining at the same time. Almost too good to be true like a nondual dining experience! I gotta go to another one soon.

Similarly, if you stop identifying with thoughts as yours, it doesn't mean that thoughts stop happening all together.

Thoughts are not localised as being inside one's mind. Thoughts are literally everywhere that has no specific location, because everywhere is infinite space.
