Well..one's mind is a construct.  So ego is a state of consciousness constructed to give you a sense of self. You would like to think that you can go about your day without this sense or say it is disconnected from you. But that would be depersonalization.  Which is a state.  You are in a state currently.  If you took DMT you could be in another.  In another reality completely. You wouldn't even be you. Mellowmarsh or whatever you said your name was. You would be something else.  Appreciate the depth of reality here.  It is absolutely...insane.

It’s a story, a dream within the artificial dream of separation.

Ultimately nothing belongs to you.

I am living the dream and all it entails, and that’s all there is to it, from the perspective here.

No one reading is obligated to believe anything that is being spoken here, and nothing will have changed here.

"When you get out of the driver's seat, you find that life can drive itself, that actually life has always been driving itself. When you get out of the driver's seat, it can drive itself so much easier—it can flow in ways you never imagined. Life becomes almost magical. The illusion of the “me” is no longer in the way. Life begins to flow, and you never know where it will take you."   Adyashanti

So I'm guessing Adyashanti is also just in a state ?

What people are calling God realization seems to be more of a peak mystical state, it doesn't last, not that I'm knocking it.

What Jim, Mellowmarsh and Adyashanti are talking about is not a temporary state.

I think we have to be very careful with some of these gurus and enlightened teachers because they are fundamentally not very impactful human beings and they use their spiritual practice to find personal peace and let other people more competent than them solve the real problems that we all face collectively.

It's also pivots back to epistemology, when somebody says something beautiful that sounds so profound what process have you gone through to validate what they're saying and that they're not saying nonsense to make themselves feel better? Not saying it's solely that but a lot of it is for sure.

I'm sorry, but this is rediculous.

I remember Joe Rogan talking about Tony Robins once, saying: "But what has he really done ?"

My God man, he's helped to change the lives of thousands of people for the better.

You don't need to create Amazon to be impactful.

You have no idea what impactful human beings Adyashanti, Leo etc are

Simultaneously you also don't have any idea how impactful you are as a human being, if you're only measuring it by what you can see.

This is why we have to be precise with our speech and not fall into generalizations and break down how exactly they help people and the effects on the followers life. Listening to some of the dudes the main benefit it would give you is peace in death because your life is an illusion! I would call that not very helpful might as well smoke some weed at that point.

I like Leo because a lot of what he says is practical. He started out as a businessman which shows because business tests theories against reality. I think he contradicts himself sometimes like railing against science when he uses the scientific method to produce a lot of his insights and content so I would call him a high quality scientist of enlightenment work.

Tony Robbins is pretty good too, most other teachers credit him for inspiring him. I watched one of his business 5 day events with a friend, it was not bad but I think he can be a bit pushy and cultish but I mean he's helped more people than I have so on that one I am critiquing from below.

It's rediculous because you are caught up in this neo-advaitan thing and you don't wanna hear anything else.  You wanna be able to just awaken with some sorta concept. It doesn't work like that. You can ignore me from here on but I am pushing on this because you are a good guy and you should find out what is real for yourself.  He's trying to help you.

We like to think that someday we will see what's behind the scenes.  What's objective.   Whatever that "behind the scenes" means to you.  The trees, when no one is there, or looking through the eyes of your mother.  But the reality is we never will.  Even if you think death is real.  Especially if you think death is real.   You will NEVER see what is behind the scenes.  What is behind the scenes will be exactly what it is - behind the scenes - for eternity.  The key to realizing Solpsism is to realize that to see what is behind the scenes will never actually come.   Which means it does not exist outside imagination.

It is YOU behind the scenes. That's what this is all about.

I appreciate your concern, but I can't invalidate my direct experience. This is not depersonalization or escape or anything like that.

I feel more vibrant than ever.

Mellowmarsh was right, it's not possible to debate this stuff. Each to his own.

I know neo advaita or whatever it's called gets a bad rap, and I'm sure there are some people to blame for that.

But the kind of radical nonduality that Jim Newman, Tony Parsons and others impart, is definitely the real deal.

Of course debate is possible, we have to strictly define our terms and and be specific in the points we're making. For example you can love enlightenment work, how are your personal finances doing? What are you gonna do if global conflicts escalate and China attacks Taiwan and consumer prices go up 3x? Are you prepared for this? The grocery store yesterday charged me $3 for a single tomato what on earth is wrong with them, I just wanted to make a cheap sandwhich.

Usually spiritual people avoid materialistic topics because you can't wrap them up with beautiful poetic sayings and you just have to boringly figure out the financial constraints of the world and be a highly competent person in the marketplace which I think most people get into spirituality to avoid doing.

It doesn't invalidate the spiritual work but it completes it in my view and is what separates a stage green person from a stage yellow systems thinker. Stage green people use their emotions to protect them against the injustice of the world and obivously that's not very effective.

Exactly, your mission if you choose to accept it is to understand yourself, not be understood. And yes, everything becomes more vibrant and magical.

To each their own is precisely the egoic trap you guys are falling into. You are gifted ALL of reality not just your personal interpretation of it. It's not because you feel at peace with yourself that a starving dude with a knife won't kill you to steal $100 from you. That's the crocodile analogy that Leo has been posting about on his blog. You are gifted the ability to gain power over reality itself and not just your personal psyche.

Being understood is the basis of social skills and what we talk about in the dating section, it's what pickup teaches you. Social media and social circle game is the ability to make powerful alliances with other beings all over the world. Be extremely careful diminishing these things as they will impact your well impact.

Even if nuclear war happens, that’s just more of what happens, to no one. We’re all in on the same boat here.. We’re all either on the good ship lollipop, or we’re on the sinking titanic. No one gets out of here alive. It is what it is, and will never be any other way.

Exactly, that's precisely my point. You are avoiding researching geopolitics and tracking the project of technology and using spirituality as a protection mechanism to feel better about the scary parts of reality. See how you are using absolutes on things where you should just use the concept of not knowing here? Why would there never be any other way? Why are you putting this constraint on reality?

I addressed this on my post on how AI will soon cure aging and death here :

Once you understand yourself, everything else just naturally and effortlessly falls into its rightful place. That’s the real beauty of this.

There’s no more protection mechanism here, nor is there anything scary. I’m in alignment with truth. What will be will be, I’m here for it all. I’m in surrendered state. I have no more fear.

That isn't enlightenment though. That is what we are here to talk about.  And enlightenment is mystical.   The new age advaitans lose the entire spirituality aspect. Which is the actuality of things.  What is actual is all there is. So if this what is actual for you then fine.  But to me, it has to actually happen or I wouldn't be here talking to you.  I could be anywhere else.
