No single book will solve all your emotional problems. But within you is the capacity with time and development to solve most of your emotional problems. Still there are some valubale bits in the book that could definiely help.

@Ramanujan Books are useful since they can give you a direction to walk towards healing but ultimate you have to walk towards that path, I mean taking action. Also , taking action is simpler than we assume and think when we procrastinate or avoid doing important things. Hope you heal.

@Ramanujan I think it depends heavily on your cognitive style. In terms of healing for my case it involved many books on many subjects. It involved reconstructing reality such that things make sense while building various models that map out human thought patterns and behaviors. For me it is intellectually and emotionally exhausting, but it was eventually worth it.

When it comes to solving emotional problems in general I think the most effective and precise book out there is Peter Ralstons Ending Unnecessary Suffering.

The only actual problem that will remain for ego is an imminent risk of total dissolution.

No one book will solve all your problems, but they can expand your understanding and equip you with tools to better handle your issues. Think of it more as a process than a goal you accomplish which you can contribute to with greater knowledge.

If  you want to read something that can really help you, then maybe read something from Anthony De Mello. Depending on how ready you are, It could completely transform you. Don't assume that nothing can help you, this will close your mind and you wont' help yourself. Since as you may know our beliefs create our reality and when we are assume something we look at things from that assumption hence blocking ourselves, like a kind of self fulfilling prophecy.

Healing is not something that you do, you just create the circumstances for it by understanding what's actually happening. And healing happens as a consequence.

Check this video (there are very few of these, but any video or book you take go till the end, give yourself a decent chance):

Yes Anthony de Mello is really great. His "Way to Love" is one of my favourite spiritual books ever!
