The testimonie is pretty condemning.

If true, then it's fair to say it's a cult run by a narcissist.

One could say that C*nn*r M*rphy also had an awakening, albeit aided by psychedelics. But that was obviously not enlightenment. Many such cases. Mind can create red herrings out of anything.

Most earnest teachers will tell the student the final step is to discard and abandon the teacher. Integrate the teaching and then leave it. Else you make it another part of your conditioning or attachment. All ground has to go, in the end.

It goes both ways - for teacher and student.

It is far easier to fool someone, than to convince them they have been fooled.

I don't know him so I don't want to speculate or promote hearsay.

You can make up your own mind based off the testimonials and reports. I got nothing to add to that.

I don't know any more about him than you do.

But from everything I heard he seems corrupt, narcissistic, and immature.

@Natasha Tori Maru and that is the last thing Bentinho wants, that is why he creates "the absolute", something beyond enlightenment, to make people feel inferior even if they have had some awakening, so they keep wanting to achieve a state of "the absolute", making you chase forever like a rat in a hamster wheel reaching for the absolute lol.

@Osaid and even if you're enlightened your still human, enlightenment doesn't mean you're perfect. That is just marketing that is being used by gurus. There is no need for all this theater that surrounds a guru, but without it no one would probably listen, if the guru was seen as a normal human instead of a holy figure, people would instantly stop listening to the guru.

The commitment to being Good is distinct from Awakenings themselves.

You can have Awakenings but not commit to being Good.

Yea - awakening is great, helps a lot - but it's just the place of which real spiritual work can start taking place. It's like level 1. When you're awakened, then you can start developing yourself further.

It's a stage of enlightenment.

When someone uses the word enlightenment and claims enlightenment, I think, here's another person who's drinking their own kool-aid - who is stuck.

The smarter your are, and the more metaphysically powerful, the greater the subtlety at which you can inadvertently or intentionally try to control things. Especially when you fear losing something.

The most realized people I've come across aren't up on the pedestal creating fandoms. Theyre working hard helping people, humble, humorous, and when they teach, these concepts of knowing and divine ect, they aren't shared with any kind of excitement or reverence. Just sort of matter of fact.

That's actually the most odd thing I've found about someone who is realized. The excitement and exuberance with "the message" isn't there to try to convince the person or to build their credibility up.

Being free from the causes of suffering for oneself and others, is continuous work - this is why i think the term enlightenment is so shady. It implies the work is done.

I think too many spiritual people try to deny the physical world that they live in and and it comes out in unconcious ways like this. There is this harmful idea in the spiritual community that you transcend your sexual desires once you become enlightened. Why can't you be enlightened and also wanna fuck a lotta women at the same time. I'm not enlightened so I wouldn't know but this denying of sex leads to stuff like this

It's kinda crazy but think about a tesla self driving car. The amount of tiny miniscule changes it makes in any given movement.

When you have access to the subtle bodies and not control of your character ... then you'll "self drive" to outcomes that are maybe not the best for others, or the broader network.

These tiny movements of mind and intention create undulations in space and time which influence people around you.

This is part of why people with access to pure awareness can be so magnetic. States of Samadhi, pure awareness, or even just certain Qi gongs, generate a lot of Qi.

But how you refine that Qi, nurture that Qi, and what you do with that Qi is a matter of character.

The spiritual arts are often dangerous because of this aspect.

Having a bigger battery empowers all of what you are. Including the qualities of character that this person we are discussing seems to be displaying.

This is just classic narcissism. It's not special or different structurally from any other narcissist. "Spiritual narcissism" is still employed in the same way as normal narcissism. Structure over content is important to understand this. Cults and narcissists use the same exact mind control methods all throughout time. It's just a spiritual costume this time.

There's grandiose ideas and fantasies about the self which he wants to meet, and he'll convince people he has healing abilities to get it. "I deserve sex, I deserve this, yadda yadda". That's the common motif with NPD.

I think it's worth emphasizing and noting again that these things can happen because of too much Qi, developing too quickly, and not being mindful of ones own character traits.

It's not too far fetched to say that anyone can be vulnerable to their own latent selfishness, and that this work exposes us to it. I feel like this goes understated, or unrecognized a lot of the time, as the conversation of Qi may not even come up - as we may put everything to rationality.

It's important.

Especially if you're doing spiritual work.
