Standing desk!

To tell you the truth, I haven't actually used one myself — I just got it delivered today. I expect it to be a life-changing purchase.

There's also this under-desk treadmill I'm considering getting as an add-on. Just imagine feeling as creative and relaxed as you do on a walk!

P.S. You're the first Russian-speaking Actualized.org user I've ever had a chance to come across. I'd be excited to chat with you sometime. Feel free to find me and text me on IG: questioning_mark

Thanks. Yeah I`m saving up money to buy these things too.

There are at least 3 people besides me who are russian. I don`t know why you want me to write you, but I did it :)

I sit all day too. What I do is, I ensure no sit session exceeds two hours. If I need to do a 4-hour project after 2 hours I do a minimum 5-minutes exercise and snack break. This works well. I basically carve up my day into two hour sits followed by other daily activities like exercise, cooking and going out. It has good balance.

Wow, that's a lot of sitting. 10.000h is what you need to be the most masterful sitter on the planet.

I work in 25 minute blocks, with 5 minutes fuck-around time.

That 5 minutes is always getting up and moving in some way.

Lunchbreak is a 30minute-1hr walk.

1hr sprint / intervals on the bike before work OR 1 hr run. 30 minutes resistance training after work.

3 out of 5 days a week are at the desk, the other 2 onsite so I am moving around daily then.

If I do not get up and move every 30 minutes or so my mind begins to sleep (or my focus/sharpness can fade). They key is to never sit still for more than 1hr max.

Seems to work for me :)

It is far easier to fool someone, than to convince them they have been fooled.

This is poor advice and in other examples can be dangerous advice because you have no experience yourself and literally just got it... Its like those youtube videos people make reviewing something or "how to" something, but they themselves are opening / experiencing it for the first time and have no idea how it properly works themselves, yet they are trying to teach others.

Its very silly thing to do, completely lacking in wisdom. No offense, but no one is going to benefit from something you have no direct experience of, in fact the opposite effect can occur. So many people do this today and i think it needs to be addressed. The idea and intention may be good, but its just not wise to share something you don't have experience in for many reasons.
