Disclosure Day trailer 2026 (Spielberg)

It didn’t leave as much as an impact on me as I thought it would. I cried more at Wicked than I did watching Disclosure Day (and no it wasn’t because of Ariana Grande…)

Nope. Conformity is going to a movie just because others are.

If reviews say a movie is lame, why should I be excited to see it? They ain't lying. This is a mid movie at best. This is not like a Jurassic Park or Jaws caliber film.

If you want a great alien film, watch Sputnik.

Fuck I know, I saw this too.

I'm seeing it tonight

RIP my hopes and dreams.

The shredded tatters of the last of my passions.... 🤣

It is far easier to fool someone, than to convince them they have been fooled.

You are conforming to their opinions. You don't know if the movie is truly trash until you see it. Leo Gura giving away authority, now that's something :D.

Even if the whole universe say a movie is trash but you somehow liked something about it, you go and watch it to see if it's true. True rigor9_9

People want to listen to critics and narratives instead of actually experiencing artworks in themselves.  I never look at movie reviews or even want to know what it is about before I watch one.

There is too much Hollywood trash these days not to consider reviews.

I am not saying I know it is bad. I am saying the evidence points to it being not so good.

I don't buy this at all.  You're resorting to what other people think instead of just experiencing the artwork and making up your mind.  It is a prejudgment.

Don't you think reading youtube comments is valuable insight to a movie's value?

I have friends that pick movies for me to see, so I never have to worry about this stuff.  I just watch and make up my own mind.  I don't want to be prejudged when experiencing art.

I am not so much trusting their judgment as I listen to the plot of the movie and how the movie generally works. This gives me information about whether it interests me or not.

After I learned the plot of Disclosure Day, I lost interest in it. I thought it would be something more interesting.

If I am truly interested in a film I will avoid reviews and even trailers. But such films are rare these days.

I think there is a difference between a prejudgment and a post-judgment when it comes to experiencing an artwork.  I'm more interested in my post-judgment than anyone's prejudgment in an artform that I know something about.
