How to deal with a feminist

I think I now have the answer to this question. 

When someone goes 'patriarchy rawr!' or 'men are the single biggest threat to women Reee!!' or 'I don't need a man rawwrrr!!' or 'Toxic masculinity Reeee!!', here's what you do. 

You ask them, in a condescending tone 'Aww. Who hurt you?' and then watch them reveal how they generalized an isolated incident to all men. 

I think this should do it.

It goes a bit deeper than that. I used to think this when I was 17. Truth is, especially when young, you soak up any and all ideology like a sponge. It doesn't matter much which one it is. And a woman who gets hit by their man in say Saudi Arabia or Iran doesn't necessarily pick up feminism.

I think this should do it. 

While it's true, people don't have access to this incident(s) anymore. They can only access the generalized believe and idea. 

Plus, some stuff might be warranted. 

What I do depends on my situation and my intentions. No energy? No interest? I just ignore that or casually change the topic or stop talking to this person at all until she returns to sth else.

And then there are infinite other scenarios how to react...
