@Natasha Tori Maru  I did dismiss it but it sounds like you're adding more to what I said than I intended.

On you to clarify that, in that case. The words you chose do indeed broadcast the tone I raised. The above is gaslighting. You, yourself, stated above 'I get irritated with all this'.

That came out. Irrespective of whether you choose to acknowledge it or not.

This is me, disappointed.

I really do respect you @UnbornTao. I appreciate your input and your open, deep enquiry you contribute to discussions here. It is very unique. Lends nuance and always attempts to drive at our assumptions, misconceptions and presuppositions.

I'll own my disappointment. Mostly confusion. Self generated through investing.

I'm out.

I'd say the first thing to do is to make sure you're actually listening to what's being communicated. This is pretty much what the work is about.

Listen well and you will realize he says falsehoods.

There is 1 simple rule in life, dont trust old white men. White race is the most chaotic internally.

Okay, it's not a belief then.

To be clear, you're referring to the one where I laughed, right? I'll admit that was unfortunate and could have been phrased differently.

We needed some comedic relief, thanks.

@UnbornTaoI think our ancestors did some demon worship and now we face the repercussions.

That pretty much skews the effort of listening from the start. To be clear, I didn't mean to imply that this is a competition between religions.

I did not say to skew anything. If falsehood is present it will get revealed naturally.

But you need to seriously question what he says, not just hold him up as some flawless figure above you.

I have seen many of Ralston's hardcore students and they clearly don't question him enough. They look up to him too much to question him. That is the trap you should watch out for.

If you question him deeply enough you will realize the things he says do not add up.

It's also possible (and very likely) that you think you've already listened successfully, but you haven't really, or at least not fully. You know, like when Adi Da talks about the whole psychedelic thing.

Listening isn't about deciding what to believe or disbelieve. A soccer player shuts up and learns from Messi, regardless of what he thinks or wants. Let the chips fall where they may.

@UnbornTao The irony of what you're saying is that Ralston himself does not listen.

Just look at Ralston's students. They don't question or challenge him. Ralston has created an echochamber around himself and his students do not have enough intelligence to see it.

I promise you that Ralston is wrong about Love.

Assertiveness doesn't make something true, in any case. I think you're just misunderstanding. You seem to think your work is pretty much the same as his. I don't know what he does or doesn't listen to. But that's the whole point of the soccer analogy. You assume his students simply take his word for things.

@Leo Gura This is what makes your teaching/teachings very strong — you constantly try and see the flaws in your teachings, and see if you’ve missed something/you’re biased and you keep a very open mind.

And there’s a more chill vibe in this community, not strictly student-teacher, but people can critique/challenge you and you take it in (as long as they’re sincere and not just trolls).
