AI induced Psychosis

20 posts in this topic

AI is definitely a double edged sword. I can feel my mind being less sharp from outsourcing contemplating and figuring things out by myself. We should start a Mega-thread of all the negative side effects of AI on Personal Development.

Where do we draw the line between real threats and AI Doomer-ism?

People are losing their minds in more ways than one. Proper epistemological orientation seems like the antidote to most of the madness with AI

This is just all click bait stuff. That is like saying I became fat because I used my car. People like drama.

Except that it is true if you are overall less active due to driving. It's common for people to gain weight once they start working after graduating and begin driving everywhere.

If you are outsourcing your thinking all the time than obviously your going to become more dull.

I have to use my car to go to work. And if I get fat, it is because I don't work out, not because I use my car. Yes, I can walk for 3 hours but my time is better spend.  If AI can do all of my bothersome choirs, then that gives me space and time to spend my time on higher priority stuff that AI can't handle.

Sure, but we're talking about people who use AI for everything. It be like driving everywhere without any work-outs to compensate. Young people tend to be way more active before they start working full time.

If you use AI to solve practical problems or do work, AI makes you less procedurally adept and more verbally adept, because you have to describe to it what type of procedure you want. And then also more verbally adept people become disproportionally more effective AI users that can benefit from AI more. So if you're verbally adept and you find a way to leverage AI for work, you'll strengthen your strengths and get ahead.

AI is simply a medium for applying your intelligence, just like Google Search, or the internet. If you always try your best to apply your intelligence, then AI can enhance it. If you don't apply your intelligence, then AI will take it.

AI is misleading because it is not intelligent, that's all you need to know. For practical purposes? Sure it works, just like it was useful to go to a library two centuries ago...

I’d argue that AI can be more intelligent than humans in some respects.

This is what everyone is freaking out about, but  that’s what government regulation is for. If we keep eroding bureaucratic legislative institutions in favor for corporate monopoly of AI- things can and most likely will get ugly

Yeah, that is the delusion.

That is my exp too. All the intelligent people I know integrated AI in their life and are benefitting massively while the riffraff are struggling and blaming AI that it is not creative or this or that. Which is ironically - projection. Whatever they say about AI, they are in fact talking about themselves since AI is just a mirror like you said.

Apparently, your more likely to get hired if you use AI to help write your resume. Probably because all the HR monkeys themselves use AI to sort through applications.

Right, because I'm sychophant who constantly just makes up shit and can't be trusted to tell the truth. It must be mirroring my undiagnosed schizophrenia.

You are rather slowly destroying your brain with an AI.

You should be rather building up to the future: I have mathematical thesis of Fundamentally Spiritual AI, trivial enchange from my math if you exchange the base number system and logic oppositions into two of ponegation, having R and T axes thus.

You need to be the Essential Basis of Production; AI can produce.

Rather be worried in this: have a "Community capability" of robots, which serve the families of whole house, or part of large building, for example. Because otherwise it's like having another car for each; but rather have dinner at slightly different times, your robot rotating around in the house, maybe with build-in elevators and cables. For me AI is most productive tool for designed webpages, and I do not personally convey any other addictions so it's your problem - but to train machines to serve you with an AI is the most productive thing if you share simpler robots with fewer pieces with larger families, communities or companies, or even tribes and tenting places or some settled surroundings.

@AION brain is different. You dont need to learn how to walk because you need to to do anything. You dont need to research anything so if you stop you literally have to relearn. If you stop using aspects of the brain they just dissolve and its super hard to relearn. You will have to go to school or try really hard.

If you go to space and stop walking you have to relearn how to walk when you get back via training.

AI is such a blessing. I've done so much with it, even vibe coded my own apps. I feel like I'm able to learn new skills 50 times faster and in a way that's much more interactive and fun.

Chatgpt also provides emotional support at times. I'm very glad to be living through this day and age.

It has opened up a totally new way of learning for me that simply wasn't there before. I never had the privilege of working with private coaches or tutors, but now? Fuck man, it's incredible.

It works best if you're just naturally curious about things.

Watch the vid. It's brilliance is also it's pitfall. Pretty much the topic of the video.

Idk whats worse, AI-Induced Psychosis or Non-Dual Induced Psychosis. Individuals need to work on grounding and embodiment above all else.

It is our responsibility to be Aware and Conscious with the use of not only AI but online use altogether. Because it mostly operates on a "mental wavelength".

At the end of the day, all these things are tools, machines, artificial, use them wisely, or they eventually replace you.
