Yeah and Orthodox Christians as well. In my country when you go to the church, it's like a circus, and the higher the priest is in the hierarchy, the more ridiculous the outfit gets. If you tried to speak up and ask question on why those specific outfits, they rationalize and say that it's all canonical, as if canonical means sacred or something.

It's funny when you look up Canonical in dictionary, you get -> "conforming to a general rule, standard, or official authority"

In general, repeating a technique mindlessly (in trying to practice anything) without a desire to understand how or why it actually works. This can get you started but later turns into a mechanical process rather than conscious one.
