That's interesting James, I am curious, how does that freedom show up when someone is hurting or when things get messy?

Know that you are just some thoughts that claim ownership of body and mind, yet not even all the thoughts.

And there is a body and mind, perfect mechanicsm.

In any situation, will body react better or you, what do you think?

The answer is so obvious, I’m surprised you missed it.

@zazen about the distinction between essence and form. I'm going to explain as clear as I can.

There is only one essence and infinite potential forms, I suppose you'd agree. The point is understanding what the essence of everything is. Let me explain my point of view. At a certain point, you decide to delve deep within yourself, to seek enlightenment, because you sense that possibility, but nothing you read resonates completely. Then you become (at least I did) obsessed with meditation and psychedelics, going all in, no prisoners.

Then those phases happen:

First, begin to see the structure of the self. You see that what you are is a node of tension, a center created by energetic layers based on genetic mechanisms of fear of destruction, attachment to the clan, and an absolute need to be accepted by the tribe. This is extremely powerful, and deactivating it is a great challenge.

Second, you are able to go beyond meaning, you can empty your mind completely, reach absolute silence without terror, then the void occurs. Reality is a transparent, superficial hologram, and beneath it there is only an infinite expanse of the void. It is extremely difficult to endure this; it is terrifying.

Third: at a certain point you realize that there is still a center observing the void; there is a subtle separation. Then the shift occurs: you realize you were looking outward, you change your focus, you look inward. You are something, what are you? It opens up. It is, metaphorically speaking, your heart. It contains everything. The infinite void is permeated by your substance. It has no limits, it is inexhaustible, it is everything. It is absolute totality. The form is not an hologram anymore, it's alive, full of life.

Then you realize that what your substance is is limitlessness; the absence of limits that you are translates into totality. Nothing is missing; you have always been that. What you are is outside of time; not  "happening." "Happen" is a possibility, an inevitable dance that occurs given the inherent instability of limitlessness. Nothing contains you; you are everything; nothing is missing; hallelujah, you are free.

Outstanding thanks. In meditation this is equivalent to going from I am that to I am to am. I work on such a practice each day and sometimes arrive. What you wrote is a solid simple explanation.

I used to occasionally speak with Robert on the phone years ago when I was going through an awakening of sorts. He has since passed away but I always enjoyed his videos........check it out
