Solipsism my ass

156 posts in this topic

This whole forum is filled with the kindling of solipsistic minds - another match had been lit and thrown wantonly into the pile 💀😈

Deal with the issue now, on your terms, in your control. Or the issue will deal with you, in ways you won't appreciate, and cannot control.

@ivankiss Your responses must be the smuggest on the forum right now.

"Spiritual" people man... so enlightened, non-dual and shit...

And regarding solipsism: dread it, run from it, but it's all the same. Dumb endless conversations, jokesters ridiculing, and yet the truth isn't observed. "BUT SOLIPSISM IS JUST A BELIEF BRO! IT'S ALL, LIKE, MENTAL AND SHIT! CHECK OUT MY FOOLISH ARGUMENT FOR THE 1000TH TIME!". What a repulsive dumpster fire.

You have my permission to delete my account and forget about me forever.

Until I start mocking you again, from a higher plane of existence. Heads up... Leo won't be there to protect you. And not even that other or another deluded guru that you religiously jerk off to every night.

@ivankiss there is something in psychology called projection . When you constantly accuse people of things like "you are a bunch of incels with no life ".."you guys are jerk off addicts ".."I'm Diego Armando Maradona and you guys don't even know  how to dribble yourself "...etc.....when you do that..it is actually YOU who is like this and that's exactly why you accuse others of this .

Did I say they weren't?

Yes but indirectly by putting the solipsistic claim about only your room exists in quotation in a sarcastic way implying that other rooms exist obviously and we need to touch grass . And I just roasted your head with the evidence to the contrary.

What was implied is that solipsists constantly contradict themselves, which I was making fun of. Other than that, if you ask me, "only my room exists" (or simply "my room exists") is in the same conceptual fantasy land as "other rooms exist". It's just a slightly different combination of conceptual assumptions and conclusions. Both statements rely on a long list of assumptions. And of course, those assumptions are in a categorically different realm than what can be taken as absolute undeniable truth.

That doesn't prove the kitchen exists. It only shows a camera with the view of a kitchen the same way memory works. Memory is appearing but no one is remembering anything. The kitchen appears with a camera but that's just a kitchen in a camera and doesn't prove the kitchen actually exists.

Exactly. The camera being a great pointer to the infinite single seeing eye. The one infinite lens through which every conceivable image is captured, except the camera itself.

From the absolute perspective, there is no kitchen, neither when you're seeing it "directly" in your field of vision, nor when you're postulating it hypothetically outside your field of vision. To believe the kitchen exists because you're seeing it in your field of vision, is like thinking the kitchen exists because the camera is filming it. There is no ultimate distinction there. It's the same bag of tricks, projections.

We can also put it another way (an affirming contextual way rather than a disaffirming absolutistic way): the kitchen exists when I see it if we grant that we're talking about perceptions and perception is a form of existence. The kitchen really exists "out there" when the camera films it because we grant the elegance of posing a 3rd-person entity (physical space) for explaining the cohesion of our experience, and the camera filming it fits with our preconceptions and logical inferences about this entity (for example, when we see through the camera and for example move our hand, we roughly see the same as if we saw it with our naked eyes).

There I just made some of the assumptions behind each statement explicit, so that you more readily can say something exists on those terms. But if you want to be absolutistic about what exists, it exists before any question is asked, before any question is answered, before any perception is perceived, before any sensation is sensed, before any feeling is felt, before any sight is seen. It exists and is present when all of it is present and none of it is present.

I'm just saying even smoking a bit of weed has given me insights into solipsism - you can realise that point instant is non-dual and you're essentially talking to yourself and creating your own life - but then sober you wonder if you hallucinated it and duality behaves independent again of yourself

And then sober I wonder if as god I actually enjoy my own life on hard mode, like it'd be too easy and exhausting for some reason if everything was a focused conscious positive - While difficulty mode seems default as an unconcious laziness, but I also lean too heavily into resisting my own life than easing up on love and light and accepting my own flaws.

Also I think time or the Earth or even maybe the Sun has to be moving faster like it's already midday and I've been up since early morning and it feels like I've been awake only 3 hours something aint right

The older you get time moves faster and that’s not a myth I remember being 15 and now I’m at the end of my 20s mental illness took it all from me but regardless time does move faster with aging

Drowned in this screaming silence
Embraced by shadows, they tear me
The wormholes free my eyes

The blood boils - it knows
My thoughts burn as minds liquefy, vaporize
Reality scorched by this fixed state

All beginnings slain by ends
I seep down into the black to breathe

Drifting to merge with the past
My tongue licks the residue of the future

Bitter taste, the wombs of claws call me
Filth rips them open, the stillborn start to move
Lidless eyes twitching beneath a sheet of rot
They reach out, they want to kiss - It matters not

In dreams it speaks to me of the truth that means
reality
