Probably education is one of the few things that works in Cuba, let's not take them that.

If Cuba’s education system works, why don’t they participate in PISA or other independent assessments.

Healthcare should be expensive because: 1) health is worth a lot, 2) doctors invest a lot in their education and work a lot, 3) mistakes in this field are deadly and costly.

Yes, doctors should have great pay. No one is denying that. But is it the Neo-Liberal way of doing medicine in the west superior to public free health care? Is it ok that if someone gets cancer or a very bad illness, to die or to be in debt for the rest of his life to the neo liberal medical system? How is it better to be bankrupt for life if you get ill? Only millionaires have the right to benefit from medicine? The ones who can't afford medical treatment are the ones who work in the most health-damaging conditions, while a millionaire works in the most safe working conditions.

The Nordic social democratic system is in no way viable as a solution for the globe. The exploitation and externalities are simply outsourced to another part of the planet while the social democrats celebrate their virtuousness. I have no loyalty to marxism, but we do need some sort of universalist project that doesn't depend on an exploited other.

Modern capitalism is a complete failure for the life-sustaining systems of the planet long term, and it won't solve the global sorts of problems we are facing. But neither will Marxism. We need to rethink so many things, and it will be a complete shitshow even if we manage that. But we will sort out the shit.

Look at how Cuba actually is, not leftist talking points:

They live like dogs. They have 6hrs of electricity per day, no medicine, no eggs, black markets, everything is run down, no jobs, no future.

Don't forget that communist education is an indoctrination camp. They are brainwashed from day one with communist dogma.

Again, overlooking the elephant in the room.

Marxism has failed in every place it was tried. You can't blame all of that on the US, although Marxists will certainly try.

@Leo Gura China? Yeah I know they are capitalist aswell, but they have taken the aspects of both worlds. I stead of being subordinated to capitalism they have taken control of it.

China was a failure until it rejected Marxist economics and went with capitalist economics but kept its one party dicatorship. The economy of China is NOT what Marxists wanted nor predicted. Marxism was about eliminating free markets and private property. That did not happen because it cannot happen because that is a fantasy.

What China proves is that capitalist economics works very well to make a nation rich.

That looks quite bad. I'll research again the topic, thanks for the resources.

God-Realize, this is First Business. Know that unless I live properly, this is not possible.

There is this body, I should know the requirements of my body. This is first duty.  We have obligations towards others, loved ones, family, society, etc. Without material wealth we cannot do these things, for that a professional duty.

There is Mind; mind is tricky. Its higher nature should be nurtured, then Mind becomes Wise, Virtuous and AWAKE. When all Duties are continuously fulfilled, then life becomes steady. In this steady life GOD is available; via 5-MeO-DMT, because The Sun shines through All: Living in Self-Love, Realizing I am Infinity & I am God

@Leo Gura ok, Thanks for the info. I just want to clearify a thing. What Marx/marxism mean by private property is the means of production not personal property e.g. cars, houses, phones etc. Just see so many does not understand this point.

Of course I know that.

They mean capital. Marxism demonizes and seeks to abolish capital.

What’s most striking in the videos is the contrast — the architecture shows how beautiful Cuba once was, but today it’s crumbling. Nothing new is added, nothing is maintained, and the country seems to survive on the slow decay of its past before communism.

Cuba was propped up by the USSR. Once the Soviet Union collapsed Cuba was screwed.

Hurricaines devistate the island too. Developing high civilization on a tropical island is tough.

Of course it's a poor country; it's a Central American island under embargo for 70 years, what don't you understand?
It's like that everywhere on the planet, actually; I too can show you documentaries about poor neighborhoods in the United States that will make Cuba look like a safe place.
Contrary to what you say, city dwellers don't have power outages, and even if this is the case in rural areas/smaller towns, ultimately 99% of the population has access to it.
This is slightly more than all other Central American countries and equal to that of South American countries.

And yes, there are poor people in your videos, but even in France and the United States, there are people starving too; if there weren't access to medicine and decent nutrition, Cuba wouldn't have an average life expectancy of 5 years longer than the United States.
A small, almost resourceless island, with a population descended mainly from spanish farmers and a few black slaves, under an embargo, got a higher life expectancy than the world's leading power.

Again.

1)Mao isn't the "Marxism"

2)China was a poor, backward, very corrupt country, divided between Chiang Kai-shek and warlords, which suffered the war against the Japanese and then the civil war between the nationalist party and a communist party; all of eastern China from Guanxi to Manchuria (Hoi4 helps me revise my geography😎) was damaged.

Between 15 and 20 million people died during the war against the Japanese, and up to 10 million died in the civil war.
And despite all that, and his nonsense, Mao left behind a stable Chinese state, largely free of corruption, and one that had begun its industrialization.

Deng Xiaoping did indeed enrich China, but it wasn't thanks to market liberalization per se; Maoism was isolationist, and China was therefore an autarkic state.
Opening up to the international market and the possibility of a private market allowed foreign investors to come and thus bring back their capital, and also their expertise.

Even today, China is very statist, and that doesn't prevent it from becoming the second world power; probably soon the first.

No Marxists today are in favor of autarky; most are alterglobalist because that's simply the rational position.

No, technological progress and power relations do.
