An old friend of mine briefly introduced me to witchcraft (also known as these "religions/cults") that are often associated with demons, Lucifer, Satan, etc. Funny enough, these religions used to be pagan religions before organized religion took over. You'll notice they had symbolism of actual good, helping, and giving power to their fellow man, and some still do. Organized religion then "renamed" and redefined these pagan beliefs to associate them with Satan and evil. It's a very standard tactic for any system or ego that wants to self-preserve: say your religion is one of love, peace, and beauty, and then demonize any pre-existing religions as Satan-worshipping to persuade and gain new followers. The irony is kind of cute! ^^ Satan represents selfishness, ego, and hypocrisy; any cult ever can be related to it.

Exactly. Slap a nice little label on it and reduce it down so you can dis-identify it from your egoic beliefs. Voilà! 

Perhaps you could argue satanism is worshiping and pedestalising some dark deity - but that would be worshipping a concept or belief.

But it's difficult to know if it's negative or positive. Everyone has a different opinion about it. 

Demons in general are not pro life, that's why there is such a thing as exorcism in every culture. But some catagory of dark entities are sometimes seen as positive, which is weird.

In my experience of these things, once you open the gates to the underworld, you're going to get some really nasty visitors. If you're able to abide in the presence of God's light during it, you can help those spirits to ascend by sharing some of your life force. You can even befriend and convert them to be of service to light. Ultimately an experience like that can potentially contribute to your own ascention and to the service of the Whole. The problem becomes when you're not rooted in God's infinite love and you open yourself to these forces... Then it will fuck you up. It will pollute your system and make you corrupt on every level. That's what happens to most people who go there in my view. Usually it's a wrong mind that is attracted to those thing to begin with, which is a problem in itself. You need to be of a certain kind if you want to swim in sewage of life and come out intact.

It's the you that needs to be embraced and transformed into light. Not the you to be protected and endorsed. Careful not to give a status of truth to corrupt parts of yourself and thus endorsing it even further.

@Franz_ rich people are rich societies have used black magic to gain wealth but the reality is that once they know enough that they realise that actually using black magic is very detrimental to them. Forces them into a negative timeline where they experience nuclear war. Therefore, they don’t really use them much in a negative way anymore.
