Does being vocal about your plans and goals to other people impact the result?

I understand in some sense it doesn't matter as long as you take the right action. I want to know your perspectives based on your experiences. I have always leaned towards the side of not talking about it too much, seems to work better that way.

For me sharing my plans and goals with people causes some dopamine hits and feels that I've actually accomplished something, and later I might not take much action towards them.

I don't know if that's actually a dopamine but it comes with a satisfying feeling, it's addictive. And then when I plan to do something, I get an urge to tell somebody, which is not healthy I think.

Also, it might also be a hidden motive of wanting to validate your plans and goals with others before you commit to it.

Just observe why you tend to share your plans and goals, really look into what are you trying to do there, is that net positive or negative.

Now I personally don't share much, I prefer to show them results if anything.

I just like to imagine the universe is picking information up from you and so you think, what is the intention of this action?

Sometimes it's the journey itself that teaches/ A lot about the destination not aware of/No matter how far/
How you go/How long it may last/Venture life, burn your dread

I don't like to talk about my plans and goals unless I am trying to figure out a best course of action. Or consulting with someone I deem as an expert or has more knowledge.

I have to have a real valid reason to talk about it. A goal.

Otherwise, in my 40 years of experience, the dopamine and energy kick of talking about a plan or idea is enough for me to feel as if I had achieved it.

I want all that energy and dopamine to be channelled into the task. If I talk about it, I hamstring myself. Rob myself of the energy to actualise it.

Plus, I don't really listen to what people say as much in life. I just look at what they do. That shows you their values and beliefs better than any words.

Deal with the issue now, on your terms, in your control. Or the issue will deal with you, in ways you won't appreciate, and cannot control.

I would tell people if they asked. But I don’t care to mention anything otherwise. I am too busy messing around & jestering.
