God showed me hell!

You mean you showed yourself hell because you are God? Why is it so hard to get? So many of you still don't get it.

You bullies

Sorry, I can see my tone may have been a bit harsh.

Since there seems to be a fair share of assumptions operating in the background, you may ask: "What is God?" "Is it true I was shown something by another being?" "What did I actually experience?" Setting aside hearsay and bias, making those questions can help clarify all this.

@UnbornTao keep in mind religion is all about giving absolute final answers to the big existential questions. Religious folks don't like questioning because if they question their religion the entire house of cards will collapse in no time . He literally told you he had an out of body experience and heared a voice which he labeled as God or Jesus that this is the afterlife and this i heaven and this is hell . What do you make of that claim? He didn't prove it to us or others but he says he has seen undeniable poof of it to himself .

So much so that you aren't childishly sitting around wishing it were otherwise. If you were confined to a wheelchair you would just accept it as how reality is. Just as you now just accept that you are not a bird who can fly."

That is fair, thanks.

What question is being answered, and in what form, though? Usually it's an idea that one likes rather than an experience of the truth.

I'd ask how hearing something - in particular a "voice" presumably from another entity external to you - would be possible without - or outside of - the body, to start with. Where was he located, if not in the body?

It sounds like a subjective state to me, and calling that proof of anything is premature. I'm not dismissing the potential psychological or emotional benefits that one may have by going through such states, by the way. But I get irritated when they're taken as gospel. ;)

The question of what happens after your so called body so called dies. In Christian religion you get judgement by God and either go to heaven or to hell . I'm sure you know that .

Yes it's not experience of truth .it's a belief. But the point being made by OP is that he verified the belief by saying "God showed me hell". We're shit out of luck I guess cause God didn't show us .

Idk. Ask him. He seems to be confused and can't make sense of what he himself has experienced. But in the end point is that he did experience something.

@Someone here A belief by definition is different from whatever is true.

We're experiencing something pretty much all the time, but let's see how he answers.

I will add to this - if you post in a forum such as this with big claims, expect to have them pulled apart and dissected.

It's not meant as an attack (although coupled with wrong tone it can be perceived as such).

Why else would you post but to want to discuss it? We are all here trying to understand so deep enquiry is going to happen. There are plenty of other places on the internet to post if you want to have a belief reinforced.

Having said that, it's not an excuse to be mean or derogatory. But you can't post here and expect not to be probed and questioned extensively. We want to understand so these questions attempt to find out, even if laced with doubt.

I think @Hojo raised this as well

Deal with the issue now, on your terms, in your control. Or the issue will deal with you, in ways you won't appreciate, and cannot control.

@MellowEd If you ever have an out of body experience and there are "others" out there trying to talk to you, ignore them and NEVER talk to them. Even if it's God himself. My guru cautioned us students about these sorts of experiences. There are bad entities there and you should never choose to encounter/talk to them PERIOD.
