You come across many characters in life in the grip of an idea. 

It's very powerful to ask yourself - if you are having an emotional reaction, attachment, to someone on a forum you don't know - what is that? Investigate that. Because you don't know them. 

Also ask yourself (and check your ego) who am I to know what is best for this person? Who am I to dispense advice, opinions? Is it wanted? Recognise the arrogance there.

Pick your battles. Tap out when it's useless. Don't waste your energy and attention. 

I'm not saying don't argue, don't help. I'm saying look at all these interactions and what is causing a compulsion to act in you. Investigate that.

This post screams arrogance. It seems like "James" here is trying to tell teach us all something... Funny that he criticizes Leo for doing just that in the same breath. This is fake spirituality.
