Changing the world is not spiritual?

Key Question: does this mean we should not strive to contribute to the development of society?

Leo said in a recent blog post that the accumulation of power is not spiritual. I agree, it’s an ego mechanism. That being said, I was wondering if you could elaborate on the quoted part above.

What are you saying with this? That the trends of evolution like spiral dynamics are so grand that they will happen anyway or more profoundly that it doesn’t matter either way? Please elaborate, I’m curious about the details.

Also, Steve Jobs said, the ones crazy enough to think they can change the world do.

"The journey never ends, the point of arrival is always now."

@Spiral Wizard I think with your intuitive open questions you seem to already understand that this was a nuanced take.

I think its important to keep in mind how many people who 'tried to save the world' did incredible harm and how many people who just shared something they enjoyed or wanted to help just a little helped to improve the world in some way.

Also the trap is I think way bigger in spirituality then for example in tech.

You want to create a new technology which saves the world, not that much can go wrong.

You want to start a cult to share the truth and save the world, uh oh.

You should do whatever you want to do. Society implants brainworms to demonize yourself for doing something you have no control over.

If you litter its God literring. If you steal its God stealing. If you cheat its God cheating. If you dont want to help your neighbour dont help your neighbour. If an old person falls and its funny laugh. If someone is blowing out the candles on their cake and you want to take a massive handful and stuff it in your face do it.

You should live life like you are perfect and what you do is perfect.

Sometimes it's the journey itself that teaches/ A lot about the destination not aware of/No matter how far/
How you go/How long it may last/Venture life, burn your dread

No, it does not mean that.

But don't call it spirituality and don't fall into the illusion that civilization needs you. It does not. Civilization will do just fine without your fingers in the pie.

The ego needs to feel like it is saving the world, because that's just its ploy to save itself from spiritual annihilation.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

Truth = love.

Service is one of the qualities of love. It's in its nature to do so. The more you surrender to service, the greater love is bestowed upon you. Giving and receiving is a important principle of life. You can't receive the fullness of God's light unless you are willing to be an expression of that light at the same time. And light's will is always to serve the All.
