People are Way Worse than You Think

@Thought ArtI get the term was a bit harsh. It's just a matter of word semantics. It still uses the sperm to fertilize. Say all you want. Right now you're only concerned with what confirms your identity, your agenda, and how to survive. Nothing else. We talk about how other people this and other people that but fail to see our own then we judge ourselves and others. Then shame and guilt and remorse and whatever else. It's a cycle that breeds suffering and delusion.

What you know leaves what you don't know and what you don't know is all there is.

The question would be: if you find a wallet with 5k , you would call the owner or not? If you would do, why exactly?

Most of us if we could have a million right now, victimless crime no consequences, would take it. I wouldn't. All my needs are accounted for until I breathe my last, shower sheets shelter. I'd return the loot since they need it more. I am the incorruptible outlier in every million. However if I needed it, of course I will consider today a day god heard my prayer. No qualms, no regrets. Dog is allowed to eat dog but can't get near god.

Survival incentives shape our behavior to a large extent. That doesn't mean people can't be kind, but there's a real and usually unconscious assessment of value and threat between people. That is natural and something you have to engage in in order to survive to a certain extent. Hate the game not the player is my stance.

I think your problem is that you are categorically a vulnerable person, so you feel it the most when people don't act in kindness. The selfishness becomes apparent. The silver lining is that when you meet genuine kindness you can appreciate it more. You also aren't completely powerless to change your current situation.

I would also return it, but for a completely selfish reason. I can see when the balance is broken. In every relationship, there must be balance; everything must be clean, balanced, and transparent. Every lie, every dishonest action creates a butterfly effect that makes your reality more murky. It's not a belief, it's clear perception. So, if I keep that money, I know I'm doing something stupid, wrong, that will play against me.

But if the situation were desperate, then the perception of balance would be different. It depends of the circumstance

Distribution of wealth is arbitrary, destructive, capricious. On the other hand, personal enrichment, while not directly causing harm, in order to make oneself invulnerable is virtue. For the first time you are no man's slave. This is the ideal start point for spirituality. You seem to be making a case for a belief in karma. Isn't that self deception?

I act as my perception tells me to do. For example, I wouldn't betray a partner, or a real friend; my perception tells me that would send me to hell. I've always been guided by pure intuition, so I don't need to think about it too much. If my perception tells me something, I obey. As I see everything very clear , there is no doubt. Sometimes I acted against my perception, and the consequences absolutely always were bad for me and sometimes really heavy. I think that in some moment maybe I could choose die than act wrong because my perception tells me that the game doesn't finish in this dimension, but who knows what anyone would do in extreme circumstances

I know that this is not selfless attitude, it's selfish

Def agree when it comes to personal relations. In the impersonal sphere, it's each man for himself. If I can get a leg up, I will. There are no friends in business.

Business are personal relationships. Exactly the same, at least for me.

I'm a landlord among other things and people use any excuse in the book to not pay rent. I have to be a hard-arse.

Well but that's not being dishonest, just straight.

Anyway, ethics depends of yourself, I did a lot of things that could seem very wrong but for me weren't, and others than seemed ok I saw them wrong....just your inner voice. Probably Hitler felt that he was totally honest and straight

Most people will do anything they feel they can get away with, ethics or no ethics. Spiritual work involves learning that you only ever hurt yourself.

I would take it all. I would go shopping and buy more stuff I don't need. I would put some away for later and more shopping for more stuff I don't need. Where do I stand now in your mind. Dishonest Arabia and full of shit. Wrong for doing that. Thief. Karma will hit me. Go ahead, let's hear it. Hehe. I can say any fucking thing. "If" is not a reality.

Thieves are allowed in gods kingdom. You are entitled to work not the fruits of your labour. The karma would be you remembering you stole it. If you can take it and not care no karma. The owner would get the karma.

Sometimes it's the journey itself that teaches/ A lot about the destination not aware of/No matter how far/
How you go/How long it may last/Venture life, burn your dread

no, I won't judge you because if I would be honest is mostly for fear about breaking balances and that.
