Trump Announces UFC Event On White House Grounds.

It's for America's 250th birthday, and honestly it is quite cringe after seeing how a lot of trump followers are these maga, UFC fans. It's quite disgusting as an MMA fanatic myself but also as someone who is looking at politics and the social matrix from a meta perspective. It's a clown show, Trump is a clown. No disrespect to the fighters, but even the fighters are infected with idealogical, distorted political, maga UFC brains. Leo I can see more of what you mean how UFC fans and trump go hand in hand, it's just corruption at its finest level. What does holding a UFC Event at the White House reveal? What does this really reveal and mean on a meta level? Like what is the psycho-sociological effect of this? Like when people get really excited about this taking place, what does that reveal about someone or the population?

  • It’s marketing for Dana White. Just like selling a Tesla on the White House lawn for Elon.
  • Trump is delivering value to Dana. Like all his alliances, they’re structured around quid pro quo.
  • Trump does not give two shits about UFC. He uses them like he uses Christians.
  • Only an unconscious fool would make a habit of getting excited at watching someone’s head get bashed in or elbow popped out. It reveals a crude, immature, unserious consciousness.
  • This low level of consciousness is the status quo.
  • One implication of this is they are ripe for manipulation, conformity, and getting swept up in the madness of the crowd. When one of the most powerful, wealthiest, and famous people on the planet acknowledges their regressive hobby, they turn into school girls screaming in the presence of Elvis.

One interesting dynamic is this will not sit well with Christians. I had an impulse to blast this story over my social media but then I realized it will have more effect if the Christians just turn on the news and see it for themselves.

All this tough guy theatrics shows an underlying insecurity about America’s crumbling role in the world and the pending dominance of China.   It’s the same as Andrew Tate’s thug persona.  The projection of strength.  But it  is all theater.  Real strength doesn’t need the clown show.  But they are now destroying the lives of people in the US who are doing the jobs nobody else wants to and rounding them up.  Being a bully to those who can’t fight back is safe for the coward.

It reveals that trump thinks America is his company. Hes hosting the event on HIS front lawn. I have no idea what is happening there but its super weird. The fact that people let this slide means that your government is corrupt on both sides or God is letting him do it. If it happens with no blow back then its number 1 if there is a fight then its number 2. It feels like the democrats are just sitting there doing nothing laughing except Bernie Sanders and AOC. Its like the dems were like we cant just all sit here and watch send Bernie and AOC out there to yell a bit. Hes clearly breaking 100s of laws.

Honestly, why not. I'm down with it. And yall should be too. Might as well have some fun while you're watching a live disintegration of your democracy. We'll see how the White House handles becomming an MMA stadium with thousands of people in it

It really reminds me of that scene in the movie blood and Bone, starring Michael jai White. At the very end there was a fight taking place on the lawn of this multi-million, billion dollar house of these rich grifters. And the people that were there watching you can just see the faces of these wealthy devils, like watching a group of "I am legend" movie zombies eating a dead corpse. It's disgusting.

@ExploringReality Sports and fascism will always have a positive relationship I’d argue.

The reason being that fascism necessarily entails the messaging that a certain special group in society keeps attaining victory in a struggle and that they deserve this victory, and that the loser deserve their loss. For example, maybe that White Christian’s accumulate much wealth in the USA and this is deserved and that black folk do not and that is also deserved. This is different to libertarianism/ individualism because it’s about a group not an individual.  I take this in part from Jason Stanley.

And in sports there is a struggle between competitors. Where is one winner, and the winner is seen to have deserved their win in some way (skill, preparation, mindset) and the loser to have deserved their loss. Think of all the praise and condemnation around the idea of not making excuses in sports. You lose you deserve. You win you deserve.

And then I’d argue that ufc is chosen specifically because it is perceived as a vulgar sport. UFC at the white house is just another version of trump calling news reporters scum. It’s Trump saying I’m not like these elite guys I’m like you everyday people. This is what Adorno talks of as the ‘Little big man’. One of the plebs who makes it to power. And everyday folks get some satisfaction out of seeing the vulgarity because they see it as mocking the cosmopolitan elite. The elite who want a polite president who perhaps plays tennis at the White House. Again I take a lot of this from Jason Stanley.
