Body Never Truly Relaxes?

14 posts in this topic

Recently my experience has been that my body is tense throughout the day. As I become more aware of my body and thoughts, this tension seems to increase, but I'm sure that's just my awareness.

Once I become aware, I let go, I have a happy thought, I smile and relax the body.

I can now even smile and relax and bypass the thought, like I've made a neural shortcut 😁😁

Has your experience been similar? Can the body stay relaxed during work or intense thought? Does it feel more tense as you become more aware?

Yea my body also can become tense very fast.

I think it’s early childhood trauma.

It can also become quite relaxed.

There are a few things that can help like vagus nerve exercises.

Buddha said to exist is to suffer.  Basically to exist is to be tensed . I only relax when I sleep . Existence is full time job of tiredness .

Ego is tension and tightness. God is perfect calmness, relaxation and peace. One to the other is meditation. Breathe deeply to energize mindfully and take the wheel away from the ego.

It could have to do with all that manipulation you are doing.

@Butters has nothing to do with you personally. Trying to mold reality is stressful on the body mind. Especially manipulating humans.

Why is a hoarder stressed? Because they are desperately trying to stop something from happening by manipulating reality. Ie starvation , not having what you need. None of these are happening but trying to be prevented.

Why is a manipulator stressed? For the same reasons only humans are way more complex.

There is a lot of unconscious tension and stress, and it manifests as tension in the body. Many capsules of negative emotion or trauma are trapped in the energetic pattern that we are, creating waves of anxious energy that we live with and don't perceive because we are used to them.

Looking inward means noticing all these distortions, facing them, and deactivating them. What they call enlightenment has a lot to do with the physical, with allowing your energies to flow unhindered. It is a slow and difficult process, as you have to resolve all the inherited karma, that is, all the inherited anxious energy, all the fear that creates distortion, self-reference, escape forward, stress.

Many misunderstandings about bodily tension here.

What people need to grasp is that not all tension is bad tension. In fact, the vast majority of tension in your body is very necessary.

Simplistic ideas like tension = ego are not going to cut it.

@aurum we are literally made of tension energy.  I'm not being pessimistic. That's Just the raw truth of physical existence. Just the mere fact that you are stuck in a dense gross body made of flesh and bones which constantly needs to eat and shit and sleep =tension and suffering.

How can you say tension is good or mandatory?  This sounds insulting to someone who suffers his life like labor workers . How much serious shit and stress did you experience in your lofty life ?

Your body would literally melt into a puddle of goo without tension.

Educate yourself on biomechanics:

OK will check these videos out .thanks for sharing.

I would still say though..honestly..how do you feel about existence itself ? And I don't mean existence as an abstract metaphysical notion ..I mean plain ordinary day to day life ..do you think its stress outweighs its comfort and pleasure ?or vice versa ?

"Turn into goo ? "Why the hell not? .. .there is no heaven better than complete non-existence. Existence is inherently tiresome. Do you agree or not ?this is my main point.

I like living. I enjoy my life and have no desire for it to end. I'm a very happy person.

But of at the same time, perhaps that's only because the circumstances of my life are quite good.

I'm sure if my life went to hell and I experienced persistent deep suffering, maybe I'd want it to end. But that's not my situation.

 Enjoy your life mate .

This actually ties in to my point ..if you are living a luxurious life don't judge tension and stress . Some people are undertaking degrees of stress and suffering in their lives that (maybe ) you can't even imagine .

Much love 🙏
