One thing that Christians avoid like poison is to contemplate why the Bible dont include the apocriphal books. Well, this cherrypicking have origins on the several Concils. Is amazing to see one book where we find stories of young Jesus being a mischevous boy, even killing another boy with his magic powers.

Imagine how evengelists would make of this part of the Book of Tobit

A crosspolination of this bookish topic is that we dont know how much Politics,Power Dynamics, Corruption etc.. was involved in what today is Christianity. Well, by observing the fruits we can see the roots. 

so maybe as this video say, the concils or maybe at least in this specific concil was not the cherrypicking of books the main theme.

Book of Enoch is great. I started reading it a few years back. Never got through the entire thing. But since I can't read hebrew it is kinda pointless anyways. One needs a very good translation.

I am reading this one. In the book I am reading is called The Book of Mysterys of Enoch. Sounds more like a Psycadelics Trip. I dont want to assume that because could be inventions or whatever. Writers can be very elusive if they wish. But I can see why this one was left out of the Canonics. Sounds to mystical for a fundamentalist group.

@Leo Gura, is always the case people are afraid to discover that physical universe is an ilusion or some are just lost in it that the question dont even blip in their minds. Like a Mario Lost in the Game. I mean, I am lost as well  but I had my share of moments where I could see that reality was going Wacky and I know that I am afraid to let mind to go to uncharted territory, but most people around me may never had moments of " Wft is is this?" So they are in blissfull ignorance of how scary reality can turn if they would let some ideas get root in their minds. 

Crazy enogth, when I think that if I fall death tomorrow or this year my worst fear is that this fate come before I have the chance to get in some of those wacky wft moments where the heart beat fast even if one is sitting calm in a cushion.

Most people just don't care. But it is inherently scary to discover that everything you thought was physically real is an illusion.

I still don't understand what difference does it make to realize that the physical world is an illusion when you just keep waking up back to it every morning Lol

Like why are spiritual gurus so adamant in getting people to understand the physical world is an illusion? Whether I see or don't see that my chair is an illusion, it's there anyways. It doesn't add to anyone's happiness or spiritual progression to understand your wall is walkthroughable when you're in the consciousness state that makes it so.

It's scary that it's physical. It's a relief it's an illusion.

Physicality is what's scary. That it's an illusion is a relief to me. Although it doesn't matter that it's an illusion, because it's here anyways.

I know, as far as I could go I now are following for awile the option like that guy in the Matrix that made the choice to go back to matrix. The difference is that he would forget even the possibility of something out of the Matrix  for me and maybe for others in similar situation the case isz you never forget the day you saw it. You saw it, is made your heart race and you could not belive it but know you know that one day or another you will need to get the guts to go there again( not a place, a state)

Is not whether you see or dont, if you would be 24/7 in the state of seeing the illusion as illusion I dont know if would be possible to function. For seconds is already to much.
