my idea isn't "don't kill them", just find the least harmful intervention. if there isn't any, then kill them. 

If you find a wasp nest in front of your door, you don't just burn all that shit. you find a way to transport the nest away. your last solution should be killing them.

@Leo Gura Installing a mosquito net on my windows completely solved that problem for me. It was one of my best purchases ever, great cost to usefulness ratio.

Do you comprehend how hard it is to catch a mosquito unharmed? I can barely kill them at all, they are so sneaky.

Same thing is literally happening in my city, dogs are a problem so the government started killing them. the people didn't like that, because it's just a lazy inconsiderate solution. they pressured them, and a uwar later, there's a law that punishes who kills dogs and the government is looking for better solutions. 

the government didn't say "invent a better solution and we'll finance you"

Don't catch it then. approach it systematically. see the source of the mosquitos, see if you can remove that source.

I have many plants. The source is plant water. I am not removing them.

There are potentially more lives lived in this universe across sextilions of planets across billions of years (and potential multiverse restarts) then there are atoms in the observable universe. That would be over 10^80+ lives lived. That’s not including multiverses. The overwhelming majority of all creatures in this physics of universe deliberately choose the philosophy of stronger (often more complex/intelligent) things (beings, systems, ideas, etc) eating, consuming, and eliminating weaker beings, systems, and ideas. 
 

Death is how half of things get done in nature.

You, might not like it (because it concerns your survival), but as long as you got to serve your purpose, death  really shouldn’t matter all that much.
 

God is eternal and loves the games it plays. A lot of video games just wouldn’t be fun if you couldn’t die in them.

 

Sometimes what has to be done has to be done.

You can do this yet still kill some of the flys on-demand.
