I would say evil is deliberately and knowingly harming a life whereas stupidity is unknowingly, ignorantly harming life. Many voters elect evil out of stupidity, but they aren’t near the same level of evil as those in power.

Look at Elon Musk. The evil he causes isn't intentional, it's just his juvenile worldview.
