How does the @mention work on This Forum?

I've noticed when someone Types @ZenSwift, I never actually get any direct notification of any sort or anything.

For All I experience its just "ZenSwift" with a blue highlight.

I am wondering if any of you guys experience this.

go to notifications, then notification settings, and then check the slider for "Ping when someone mentions me"

It’s also fun to use that feature to discover unique usernames. Like what about the@cookiemonster

Ahh okay, didn't know that - thanks! You've also got to press save when you're done, I almost missed that.
