  1. Have you created some sort of timetable or plan for the week? This weekend I made one myself. It contains which past papers I'm doing and at what time. (I'm doing two a day which is about 3 hours worth of work and would amount to 18 in total over half term)
  2. Only a few close friends know that I meditate/do self help as they are quite spiritual themselves being fairly serious christians so understand a bit more (I use to be christian untill about 2 years ago when I started looking into eastern phyilosophy and enlightenment). I never really feel the need to tell others about self help (or "preach" about it), but rather just lead by example. The other day someone (rhetoricaly) asked me on the bus at 7 am in the morning why I'm so happy all the time when everyone else is so tired, bored, unmotivated for school.
  3. I have a question to the other teen folks on this forum (I'm 17 years old btw). Have any of you been to any teen party's? I have gone to a couple to be social but have allways felt isolated because I find it's impossible to have a conversation with a drunk person and everyone is being so stupid (I don't drink except on some special occasions). It all just seems such a waist of time and energy. Thankfully I don't get invited to often to parties as I don't have Facebook (this also seems pointless to me and more of a distraction especially when you can just talk face to face). what are your thoughts?
  4. It's great to hear from someone else in the uk studying A levels (I am currently in Year 12 studying Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Computing). Two habits that have really helped me during this year is spending my lunch time in the library to catch up on homework or do some revision (I still do socialize in the morning and break time for balance). This gives me extra free time at home to relax or do some more work. The other habit I have is that every morning for 30 mins I read a self help book (or science magazine) which gets me motivated for the rest of the day and can become quite enjoyable after a while. In terms of meditation I have be on and off for the past year using a variety of technics (longest I have gone is 30 days straight for 20 mins each day) but it's never stuck, probably because it's been more of a chore to me. I'm still working on it. I write in a journal on a daily basis and have done since 1st of Jan just reviewing how my progress with my goals are going and this has really helped (and the habit has stuck!). So it's great that you're doing this and I'm not sure that I would have the courage to put it out to the world like you are. Best of luck on your goals
