  1. Hey guys, I think Youtube is a wonderful thing, if you are willing to unsubscribe from all the channels you don't want or need.

With that being said, here are a few videos from my feed that were released recently. I think they are great. I am always interested in learning about quality resources that I have not heard about yet, feel free to share any that you value!

  2. Why do I stay inside
    I should be living life
Instead of watching through the window
    No use in playing safe
    Not gonna hesitate
I know the storm is only mental

    I'm letting go
    Giving up the control
    Yeah I'm ready to
    Go wherever the wind blows
    I wanna see
    Where the road's gonna lead
    Time is ticking and
The world is not waiting on me

I've been dodging raindrops for far too long
These clouds over my head they won't move on
    I've been dodging raindrops
    Trying not to get wet
I've been dodging raindrops for far too long

    Dodging raindrops
But they're all in my head, all in my head
But they're all in my head, all in my head

    Sooner or later it comes
As quick as it comes it'll go
    Whatever is blocking the sun
    It's only for a moment
    Running away from my past
It's pushing me out of my zone
    Pulling me under the gun
    Into the unknown

    I'm letting go
    Giving up the control
    Yeah I'm ready to
    Go wherever the wind blows
    I wanna see
    Where the road's gonna lead
    Time is ticking and
The world is not waiting on me

I've been dodging raindrops for far too long
These clouds over my head they won't move on
    I've been dodging raindrops
    Trying not to get wet
I've been dodging raindrops for far too long

    Dodging raindrops
But they're all in my head, but they're all in my head
But they're all in my head, but they're all in my head
    (I've been dodging raindrops)
But they're all in my head, but they're all in my head
    (I've been dodging raindrops)
But they're all in my head, but they're all in my head

    Ready to go outside
    And to be livin' life
Instead of watching out the window

I've been dodging raindrops for far too long
These clouds over my head they won't move on
    I've been dodging raindrops
    Trying not to get wet
I've been dodging raindrops for far too long

    Dodging raindrops
But they're all in my head, but they're all in my head
But they're all in my head, but they're all in my head
    (I've been dodging raindrops)
But they're all in my head, but they're all in my head
    (I've been dodging raindrops)
But they're all in my head, but they're all in my head

  3. “Our task in life consists precisely in a form of letting go of fear and expectations, an attempt to purely give oneself to the impact of the present.”
― Michael Pollan, How to Change Your Mind: What the New Science of Psychedelics Teaches Us About Consciousness, Dying, Addiction, Depression, and Transcendence

“Normal waking consciousness feels perfectly transparent, and yet it is less a window on reality than the product of our imaginations-a kind of controlled hallucination.”
― Michael Pollan, How to Change Your Mind: What the New Science of Psychedelics Teaches Us About Consciousness, Dying, Addiction, Depression, and Transcendence

Yeah, the book seems sweet, I'd like to read it too.

  4. “A happy brain is a supple and flexible brain, he believes; depression, anxiety, obsession, and the cravings of addiction are how it feels to have a brain that has become excessively rigid or fixed in its pathways and linkages—a brain with more order than is good for it. On the spectrum he lays out (in his entropic brain article) ranging from excessive order to excessive entropy, depression, addiction, and disorders of obsession all fall on the too-much-order end. (Psychosis is on the entropy end of the spectrum, which is why it probably doesn’t respond to psychedelic therapy.)”

If we dont bring mindfulness throughout our daily lives, we might as well not meditate at all. Interesting thought.

    Lyrics from the song

    "There's a space I'm looking for
I grind all the time 7/24"

  6. Come with me
    And you'll be
In a world of pure imagination
    Take a look
    And you'll see
    Into your imagination

    We'll begin
    With a spin
    Traveling in
    The world of my creation
    What we'll see
    Will defy
    Explanation

If you want to view paradise
Simply look around and view it
Anything you want to, do it
    Want to change the world?
    There's nothing to it

    There is no
    Life I know
    To compare with pure imagination
    Living there
    You'll be free
If you truly wish to be

If you want to see magic lands
Close your eyes and you will see one
Want to be a dreamer, be one
Anytime you please and please save me one

    Come with me
    And you'll be
In a world of pure imagination
    Take a look
    And you'll see
    Into your imagination

    There is no
    Place to go
    To compare with your imagination
    So go there
    To be free
If you truly wish to be

    Living there
    You'll be free
If you truly wish to be

  7.

    The mother flew too late
And life within the egg was left to fate
    Not really knowing how
The world outside would take it when it came
    And life's the same
    For things we aim
    Are we to blame?

Don't doubt the fact there's life within you
Yesterday's endings will tomorrow life give you
    All that dies
    Dies for a reason
To put its strength into the seasons

    Survival,
    Survival
They take away and they give
The living's right to live (its all that we need to give)
    The living's right to know

The egg breaks all is out
The crawling bird begins to scream and shout
    Where is the parent bird?
A loneliness arose and heard its name, ring in
    For lives, begin
    Survival win
    Survival sin

    So soon the evening comes
And with it runs the aching fear of hate
    Could someone still remain
Who thinks he still could gain by escaping fate?
    It's much too late
    Don't underrate
    Appreciate

Don't doubt the fact there's life within you
Yesterday's endings will tomorrow life give you
    All that dies
    Dies for a reason
To put its strength into the seasons
    Survival,
    Survival
They take away and they give
The living's right to live (its all that we need to give)
    The living's right to know

    Survival,
    Survival
They take away and they give
The living's right to live (its all that we need to give)

The living's right to know (its all that we have to show)
And we're all going (And we're all going)
And we're all going (And we're all going)
    And we're all going somewhere"

    Songwriters: Jon Anderson

  8. "What if it was actually possible to know the point of life? And what if knowing life's point transformed how you lived your life?"

"You know that fear you feel when you exit your comfort zone? Let’s alchemize it into fuel for your hero’s journey, shall we? That’s what this class is all about. With a nod to Aristotle and modern mental toughness coaches, we start by establishing just how important it is to cultivate our courage (aka to conquer our fear!) and then we establish the fact that you are not alone (common humanity!) then we take a trip down Etymology Lane to learn that the word conquer comes from the Latin word that means “to seek”—which is a (very) good thing to keep in mind as we get really good at alchemizing that fear into excitement we can use as fuel to reach our highest potential."

"You are here to shine! The time has come to connect with your TRUE SELF. No more excuses. CONFIDENCE, COURAGE, INNER STRENGTH & LOVE are resources we all have within us. No matter what you are going through in your life - You have FREE WILL. You can consciously choose how YOU respond to life. You can Learn. You can Expand your Awareness. You can HEAL your emotional scars. You are the creator of your thoughts and emotions. You have the POWER to heal, transmute and let go of old karma, limiting beliefs, habit, and patterns that don´t serve your higher good. Everything is a part of our learning and growth. To consciously create means that you ACCEPT REALITY as it is, and take full responsibility for your life as it is in every moment. Committed to shine strong and bright. Committed to learn, heal and grow. Committed to walking your TRUE path with COURAGE, STRENGTH AND TENACITY. With A LOVING HEART. Knowing that everything that comes your way is an OPPORTUNITY to SHINE brighter. Connecting to the WARRIOR OF LIGHT within you."

    "[Verse 1]
Breath, should I take a deep?
Faith, should I take a leap?
    Taste, what a bittersweet
    All my, all my life

    [Chorus]
Let me face, let me face
    Let me face my fears
Oh, let me face, let me face
    Let me face my fears
Won't be long, won't be long
    I'm almost here
Watch me cry all my tears

    [Drop]
Watch me cry all my tears

    [Verse 2]
    Lose, soon have nothing to
Space, this is what I choose
A mile, could you walk in my shoes
    All your, all your life

    [Chorus]
Let me face, let me face
    Let me face my fears
Oh, let me face, let me face
    Let me face my fears
Won't be long, won't be long
    I'm almost here
Watch me cry all my tears

    [Pre-Drop]
    [?]
Watch me cry all my tears

    [Drop]
Watch me cry all my tears

    [Chorus]
Let me face, let me face
    Let me face my fears
Oh, let me face, let me face
    Let me face my fears
Won't be long, won't be long
    I'm almost here
Watch me cry all my tears"

  9. You might enjoy the book Lead Yourself First. It is about the importance of solitude. It actually mentions MLK and how a moment of solitude was pivotal to him summoning the moral courage to move forward with the civil rights movement.

    1. Solitude allows you to reboot your brain and unwind. Constantly being "on" doesn't give your brain a chance to rest and replenish itself. Being by yourself with no distractions gives you the chance to clear your mind, focus, and think more clearly. It's an opportunity to revitalize your mind and body at the same time.https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/high-octane-women/201201/6-reasons-you-should-spend-more-time-alone

  10. @mandyjw You're welcome.:) My floaters appeared to me as well during an intensely emotional experience. I can confirm what the quote above states.  During moments of mental and emotional stress, the floaters are dark and chaotic. However, during moments of serenity and peace, the floaters are filled with light and ordered. One time when I was facing the sky and contemplating oneness a singular floater appeared in my visual field. It became thick with light and began to spin, then shot off!

  11. I'm all right i feel real light
    i don't live a life that's uptight
    where there's fight there's struggling
i can't walk through the world
    without offering questions
    what's my direction
    breakin' the grip of depression
there comes a day when you let things go
there comes a time to a rock show
You know the time that you feel
    that nothing else really matters
you're on the spot in the world
    that you belong
that's where i am when the lights going down
i'll find a way to make some fun
i know that there is a link of energy
    to someone
    How do you feel?
    'cause i couldn't ask for
    a single thing more
    how do you feel?
    the moment you know
    just what you are for
    I'm on a quest with a vision
    i've got love and tradition
i wear a mask that grins and laughs
    i remember what i've done
i'm a vibe under the sun
    i penetrate all dimensions
    i've come again
    rejuvenate within
    i'm future animation
I feel the fuel rushing through my veins
    it's a burning flame
you could take on the world
    it's all in your brain
    How do you feel?
    'cause i couldn't ask for
    a single thing more
    how do you feel?
    the moment you know
    just what you are for
    (bridge)
    How do you feel?
    'cause i couldn't ask for
    a single thing more
    how do you feel?
    the moment you know
    just what you are for
    How do you feel?
    'cause i couldn't ask for
    a single thing more
    how do you feel?
    the moment you know
    just what you are for

In the mid-1990s, I met a man named Nestor who lives in the solitude of the hilly Emmental region of Switzerland. Nestor understands himself as a “seer”. He sees the very same dots and strings that are described above as eye floaters. However, Nestor’s claims that his floaters have changed due to psychophysiological practices intended to intensify consciousness: They became bigger and more numerous, luminous, and developed into a multi-layered shining structure with a center which he approaches through seeing. To Nestor, “eye floaters” are actually a shining structure which is created by our consciousness and in which we enter when we leave our body. For many years, I’ve been learning the art of seeing with Nestor, and today I can confirm: This kind of floaters – the “shining structure floaters,” as I will call them in the following – are a phenomenon of light and consciousness. It is a mistake to conceive them as “vitreous opacity” or “vitreous degeneration syndrome”. https://www.eye-floaters.info/floaters/introduction.htm

I sometimes notice that something I looked at before would leave like a white silhouette in my vision when I turn away or close my eyes.

@Swagala I see the same thing. I also got this from dabbling in spiritual visual practices as well. These practices can be pretty disruptive, to the point where I would caution people attempting them, to consider if they are really ready to commit to lifelong alterations in their vision.

@mandyjw There may be more to floaters than...wait for it...." meets the eye" Ha!

  14. Jody, I'm crying again
I'm walking alone on the sand
The sound of the sea, brings you back to me
    Oh so clearly
Feels like you're holding my hand

Jody, there's no one to blame
When young hearts get burned by love's flame
The love that we made, was a game that you played
    'Til it faded
But I still feel the same

    Broken hearts find their way
Back in time, to the scene of the crime
So I'm here once more, where we loved before
And I walk the shore, calling to you

    Jody, we happened so fast
Like summer, never thought it would not last
But what can I do, my life's about you
    Oh Jody
set me free from the past

The sound of the sea, brings you back to me
    Oh so clearly
Oh Jody, come love me Jody, come love me

Oh Jody, come love me Jody, come love me

  15. Ah after reading the first post again I see that this is super relevant.

"If you live in the northern US, Canada, or Europe, you’re eight times more likely to experience winter blues than those who live in warm and sunny Florida or Mexico. (2)

But surprisingly it can occur anywhere — some people feel blue during the winter in southern California! (3)

Women are two to three times more likely to feel depressed in the winter than men. (4)

If you tend to feel let down after the Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year holidays, you may be susceptible to winter blues.

Besides feeling sad, here are some typical symptoms of winter blues: (5)

Your energy is low and you sleep more than usual.

You feel apathetic, unmotivated, and bored.

You are less interested in friends and activities you usually enjoy.

You feel irritable, moody, and your relationships suffer.

You overeat, gain weight, and especially have cravings for carbohydrates."

  16. One of the unintended consequences of taking drugs occasionally is that they can throw neurotransmitter balance out of whack, and make people feel even worse than they did before taking it.

Here are some articles for educational purposes.
