It depends on the location If the United States, this disease is going to recede at some point . I picked answer 2) but this may vary greatly depending on the particular location and if there is a second wave in the fall/winter . The Floyd protests are showing a new dynamic, the power of mass civil disobedience on a national scale. And in Hong Kong That can also vary greatly as to positive vs negative effects. It is highly unpredictable and unforeseen other events can occur. For instance during these protest the attention was shifted off of COVID but now it's rising in many U.S. states and in India and Brazil, many places. but it won't go on forever. It's a lesson -

You will notice that in the previous video a few posts back Meditation and going beyond mindfulness there are 3 techniques. One is using sound. If you don't have the bowl he uses use metal pot lid like this. turn it upside down and strike the edge like a gong with a wooden spoon. The sound from a top like this can be beautiful. Notice when he strikes his bowl he doesn't always do it with even space in between. That is not important. Here are two more techniques 1) ^^ This first one you have probably never tried. It's a powerful thing. It brings happiness _________________________________________________________________________________________________ 2) . The second one here you can do 3 times but if you are starting out just do it once. Once is great enough. After you do it then go right into a regular sitting meditation and continue for 20 minutes. So set a timer for 30-45 minutes and begin with what is in this 11 minutes video. You breathe in strongly to the full amount of air you can breathe through your mouth then without holding it breathe out. When you breath out its fast and natural. Don't try to slow it down or worry about getting all the air out just proceed to the next breath like a continuous rhythm to the next in breath. This video is a guide through the whole process, 11 minutes. At the end of it your lungs will have a lot of oxygen and you may not feel like breathing for a little while. At this point don't worry about breathing at all and do a sitting meditation, back straight. This is great -

In my opinion psychedelics are a visionary trance state They are an additive state like rituals involving repetitive music and dancing , it has a physical dimension a sensory/perceptive stimulus. In this case a chemical stimulus The chemical has a physical effect on the brain which triggers a mental state (this is not to diminish the value of the experience) it's an additive state and that can be additive with sound (drums etc) and body movements, sensory trance inducers But it is antithetical to some forms of mediation (not all) which are a very reductive. removing stimulation to approach stillness, nothingness, focusing on one point , or observing our distracting thoughts in removed way in order to not become attached to them and let them pass. These forms of meditation are clearly not a visionary trance state although that occasionally may be experienced. there are additive states and subtractive states. -

You confuse love with apathy or accepting everything regardless of if it's helping or harming other sentient beings. If someone is getting raped or beaten in front of your face or an animal is being tortured and you have the power to stop it or protest in some way yet you don't because you purport to love everything, that is not love. It is cowardice and apathy Human and animal rights are both love concepts. Love is caring for other living things and having concern for their well being and survival. Love is not sitting in alone your room and vibing on how you love everything no matter how destructive and cruel. That is not love. It is an intellectual construct with a sign taped to it that says "love" and thinking -more is "higher" Love is a feeling. It is a feeling of caring for other living things. That is a sacred thing yet simple thing and available to all. It is not this mental intellectual exercise about ideas of "unconditional" forms or some rarified altered state It is a feeling that takes over and compels you to act not a rational analysis. You can imagine things in "absolutes" and extremes but that is not how things are. One person going out and volunteering to help people for 5 minutes is more real than someone doing a 2 hour lecture on their theory of extreme love. People who are actually the most loving don't talk about love all day, they do it -

If God is Love, and no human will ever be as loving as God then why does it say "You are God" at the bottom of all your posts? -

In psychology, unconditional love refers to a state of mind in which the individual has the goal of increasing the welfare of another, despite any evidence of benefit for themselves. The term is also widely used in family and couples counseling manuals. Your interpretation is that unconditional love is loving somebody who transforms into something else and therefore you fail to see how someone can unconditionally love someone or something. Now instead of an alien we look at a mother and child. The child grows up and becomes a mass murderer. And as is sometimes the case the parent still loves the child - unconditional love according to your definition. If the child turns into a lizard the love doesn't apply the lizard has no attributes of the child and it is just like the child has died. (unless it's a talking lizard) Still the parents feed the lizard thinking that it might transform back to the child. Here's the better test case. The child turns out to be a psychopath and they also turn on the parents, curses them continually and threatens to kill them. Do the parents still love them? Maybe. They might think its a mental illness that can one day be healed, unconditional love at it again -

No you can't make a logical argument with a given thing and then construct an argument based on it transforming into something entirely different. Love is a feeling. "Unconditional love" is not love. A mother might love their child deeply but when "unconditional love' is mentioned it is something in addition to this love. What it actually means is " I vow to help and protect you under any circumstances" . So what it actually is a vow. -

This has a lot of information about Siddhis in the Indian texts, Vidanta is especially critical of Siddhis however must read https://www.sacred-texts.com/hin/yogasutr.htm The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, The Threads of Union Translation by BonGiovanni ____________________________________________________ . . What Leo is focusing on now is " Outrageous Experiments In Consciousness" He posts about this in the Meditation, Consciousness, Enlightenment, Spirituality forum not the Self-Actualization forum which is less about spirituality and he seems to be less interested in these days Self-Actualization forum "Main discussion area. General Self-Help, Success, Productivity, Habits, Life Advice, Philosophy, etc." Meditation, Consciousness, Enlightenment, Spirituality forum Also includes topics like: Psychedelics, Lucid Dreaming, Alternative Healing, Paranormal, New Age, etc. -

I recommend you try some traditional psychotherapy and work on some of your issues before or separate from spiritual things aspiring to enlightenment and meet with someone 1-2 times a week. Look at this list of psychotherapy types https://www.huffpost.com/entry/kinds-of-psychotherapy-try_n_4466536 Pick one and find a person who has proven experience and a college degree in it from a college who is reputable for teaching it. You might have to try some different therapists to get the right one. Do this for six months if you can afford it . You deserve to heal, the rest of your life can improve so the investment will have exponential benefits. Also do this, get an accountability partner https://www.goalcast.com/2019/05/03/what-is-an-accountability-partner-how-to-choose-yours/ Once you have this foundation more solid you can return to more spiritual pursuit if you feel like it. Stay away form people with extreme ideas for now, you need basic healing, start with the small things. That is the only way to make it work -
