A tip that I was told when I was young and online, was to read things online and pretend the other person who typed it is smiling and saying it nicely. Really cuts through the bullshit projection and bias we all have that could cloud what we read and interpret online. It's tough to do and getting into the habit but it can be done. And if you're wrong about that assumption, it is the lesser of two evils at least.

If you want unconscious fun, this combo is the goat: Mix a little bit of weed and alcohol. Smoke a little bit first if you aren't a seasoned smoker, then 2-3 drinks as the night progresses and the high will hand over the baton to the alcohol, an amazing feeling. You'll have a fucking blast and your mind will unlock a few doors that you didn't now were closed. However, if you don't smoke at all, you need to try this on your own by yourself to see where your limits/threshold of weed + alcohol is. The last thing you want to do is puke on a bitch or pass out on the floor or get into a fight. Just get cuddly in your home with some weed and drinks and see what works for you.

This is why as I age I will always keep an open mind, even if something makes me wince I will address it in a "is this what makes someone happy? then so be it". I've found that the cooler boomers and old people are relatively young in the head and very accepting of drastically different values than what they had when they were 20. That's why I tell everyone: be very wary of making fun of old people about being stuck with certain beliefs because we will all hopefully get there in one piece and then we'll be the 'boomers'

Are you talking about them about not taking accountability or being/looking physically sick? I've found that low conscious people (hell, I'm probably low conscious myself) tend to have EVERYTHING go wrong. Nothing is fluid and everything is a damn travesty with them. It's like a gravitational pull that if you're around that too long you'll get sucked in. Yes, I've definitely experienced what you experience. Another telltale sign is promptness. Are they right on time? Are they early? Or always late? Do they have excuses right up to the last minute before becoming a no show?
