  1. You can start with each, experiment with designing each and see which one you like best. I would say research the best platforms (which is what I guess you are in the process of doing here), look up various terms like "Best gamification platforms", "Best community platforms", "Best overall platforms", etc. Do extensive research, consider all your options. I would say, look at the existing communities, courses, memberships, etc. that are most like what you want (that you like the best, are the most successful, are the best, etc.) and look into what platforms they are using. Whatever you want to know, do, someone else has probably done something similar (or has features that you would want) so take from the work and ideas of what they have already done. Also consider customization, looking into the themes with the most customization, in which you would be able to edit and add these features yourself or hire someone else to do it for you Something you might want to look into is Octalysis, Octalysis Prime For gamification, you may be looking into leaderboards, points, badges, different skill points, etc., something of that nature. That may be possible on all of those platforms in some way or another. It may not have to be as complex as you would ideally like, atleast starting off.
  2. Some potential ways to earn income are Freelancer, Upwork, Fiverr (In any area, but this can be 2 birds with one stone if done in areas associated to your business) Online Virtual Employee, Assisstant, etc. (In english related niches, your business area related niches) Selling Items online, retail arbitrage (I would say you already have this alternative, fallback of selling tech online, so to switch anything else would have to be better than that) Deliver packages as Amazon Flex Driver Tutor Online, Teach English Online Uber, Lyft, UberEats, Postmates, Instacart (I would lean toward ride services as you can practice socializing, and in a way "sales" with them???) You may want to consider downsizing, living extremely frugal to save money for your business aswell as possibly taking a loan, asking family for a loan, utilizing credit cards?????? Be EXTREMELY careful with this, most of the time I would recommend to NOT do this. Also as a technique for getting clients is offer your services for free to a business for a month, or a couple of weeks and offer them immense, massive amounts of customers then get secure them as a client. Then you can use them as proof for the next customer and so on till you have multiple high figure business clients.
  3. Across all domains its alot so I will keep this on career/ finance / business / life purpose. There seem to be two main options Financial Freedom Making ur purpose/passion profitable I personally lean towards financial freedom cause my idea for my purpose/passion is hard to profit (and I wouldn't really want to have to profit of it) Since you seem entrepreneurial minded and financial freedom seems the best to me, I would recommend pursuing this option. Do apply for colleges (if you are in a situation where it would be best to, like where your parents want you to go, you need to be on track for a profitable, sustainable career, etc.) If you can get away with not going for a year or two (tentatively) and it is viable (like you can live with parents or without having to grind at a 9-5 minimum wage job), consider not going. Also, whether you get aid, scholarships, grants, whether your parents can help, etc. does affect whether you should and what college you should go to aswell. If you can't afford college thats another reason to consider community college or straight up not going. Although, it may be easier to go to community college and pursue entrepeunership, so even if you can go to college that's something to somewhat consider aswell. For college, I do recommend STEM, my current general idea of this is if it ain't STEM it's a waste of time (in terms of college degrees ofcourse). For this PLAN B, I would also say apply to a selection of reach, target and safety schools based on your stats, reach out to recommenders, yada yada and all that college jazz For your PLAN A, your going hard to develop assets to give you consistent income (businesses, youtube channels, etc.) OR develop skills to earn high amount "one time type" income (flipping expensive items, real estate, capital gains, etc.) Not just side hustle type shit but actual real businesses, high income producing assets and businesses. Do your research on entrepeunership, financial freedom, self-Improvement and all that like read the Rich Dad Poor Dad, The Millionaire Fastlane, Unscripted, etc. Oblilerate the wage cuck mindset unless you can find a great job that you genuinely enjoy 100% of the time.....(so yeah basically gtfo of the wage cuck mindset). Once you make whatever you want per year in passive income (that is longterm and guaranteed) whether its 30k, 50k, 75k, 100k, etc. than you are financially independent, and as it grows higher than that, as you reinvest profits, you can reach financial abundance. Than you can virtually do whatever the fuck you want, whenever you want, however you want. Including having the capital, freedom and some valuable skills to devote to any purpose/passion. Cheers! Now it's time to put in the work. If you work smart and hard it can be accomplished in less than a year to a couple of years. Godspeed
  4. "Check out actualized.org, the newsletter, my life purpose course, also the forum, there is some pretty cool stuff going on over there and don't forget to buy my merch in the description"
  5. Yeah man wage slavery is a bitch There seem to be two main options 1. Become financially free through the plethora of options out there Website, Blog Affiliate Marketing Ad Revenue Investment, Trading Amazon FBA, Selling Online Social Media Marketing Selling Leads Facebook Ads YouTube (Personal or Faceless YouTube Channels) Franchise Businesses Real Estate, Rentals, Capital Gains Vending Machine, ATMs Reselling, Retail Arbitrage Start Any Business Etc. 2. Find (or make) an acceptable, profitable income from your passion through business, employment, etc.
  6. Some great advice above was Go there for a month and see if you like it No need to base whether you will like New York on pure speculation, do an experiment, see once the initial novelty wears off if you will still enjoy it, it seems like hedonic adaptation will kick in but yeah see if it's better than where you are now Also, don't work on symptoms, but the root cause of issues
  7. Once you realize watching this youtube addiction isn't getting you anywhere you want to go then you may naturally DESIRE to stop watching YouTube The problem is -----> not fully understanding that YouTube is wasting your life, making you its little bitch and eliminating your potential Notice that continuing this will leave you in the same place 2 years from now, that you are now. You already know everything you need to know for years of action. Cut out almost all theory for the next few months. Develop Clarity, Why, Vision Discipline, Focus, Willpower Motivation, Visualization, Feeling like you want to do it (OPTIONAL)
  8. @Striving for more Do whatever the fuck you want Fuck shoulds Life purpose seems to be a higher need, most people have no real business seeking this without their base needs to be met By this logic, follow what you want and eventually (accordingly to these ideas) a life purpose, desire for life purpose will come There are two things What is best What you want However, you would want to still keep in mind what is best, like do what you want (as long as it aligns (or is acceptable) within the best life, like don't go do hardcore drugs or something that will fuck up your life, do what you want in the shorter term while being considerate of what is best / what you would want in the long-term) Generally, it seems these will eventually come to be congruent (just like what is selfish and selfless seem to eventually come to be congruent), so by that logic follow what you want and it will eventually be what is best This idea of multiple birds with one stone seems ideal but in practice may not be the case Are you really going to get better at getting laid while focusing on your purpose? Indirectly maybe but Nah bruh it may be faster to just focus directly on those goals Are you really going to become financially free while focusing on your purpose? In the long run maybe but it would probably be faster to just focus directly on those goals Then again do you really want to force yourself to desire life purpose? Why not just follow what you want with the knowledge that in the future you may want to pursue a life purpose Later, this may even give you the full devotion to following what you want with no distractions as you already solved most everything else Just some ideas
  9. You can just use the latest version of OneNote Looks pretty cool though
  10. @GreenWoods Thank you for this high-quality refined content. Why did you share this? (What's your motivation?)
  11. @Samsonov Glad to contribute What are the major pros and cons of each decision? So if you would like Military Pros -- --- Cons --- --- Not Military Pros --- --- Cons ---- ---- (With however many sub-points for each) Also, another one that would help to know is What does the not military plan consist of? What would you be doing? Where would you be working? How much time would you have? What are your job options? What are your options for financial solvency ---> stability ---> security? I see what you mean I would say some certainty is required of some form or the other. Maybe not %80, it could be less. I think it just means something along the lines of your saying you are that much confident that this is the best option for yourself. It can be in a relative/comparative fashion like 70% (for option A) vs. 30% (for option B) Or perhaps some in some "objective" fashion 50% (that option A is a solid to best path for me moving forward) 30% (that option B is a solid to best path for me moving forward) The numbers don't really mean that much, it's just a matter of having some sort of understanding of the full implications of every decision and therefore confidence in your decisions. I would say that is pretty important in decisions of a certain magnitude. It may be that you have some certainty in knowing that you are ok with uncertainty in this decision hahaha Maybe you can just completely wing it (in a sense) but I don't know about that. I would say building confidence/certainty in finding whatever decision is best would help with any passive state. Ok I see What are the difficulties in leaving the system? It may, in a sense, be ideal to leave the military, have greater freedom, and follow what you want but the full practicality may not be there. It may be similar to someone being a wage cuck and wanting to leave and start a business, be their own boss but the full practicality not being there yet. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Refusal_to_serve_in_the_IDF https://www.huckmag.com/perspectives/reportage-2/young-refuseniks-israel-defence-force/ There seems some potential cons of prison, strained relationships, vilification, career detriments, and possibly more. It would be crucial to know what your alternative to the military would be in order to put them up against each other. Also, there are many benefits to military service like the discipline instilled, life experience (that many many people will never have), seeing the realities of life, connections, and any other military benefits. As long as your life isn't on the line then there could be many lessons in this path. But who knows, maybe you could learn those lessons elsewhere, it could be a huge distraction and waste of time, that is limiting you on your path toward your life purpose. Also, I think you may have made your mind but are just looking for confirmation on this forum Have you actually started self-improvement, meditating, working on your life purpose, self-actualization while in the military? Have you tested if this is possible or are you speculating about the future? Are you treating it as if something you will get started later / get started on later when you leave the military? (I may be completely wrong but I say this because these are some of my struggles as well) I would say test these theories while in the military (unless there is some caveat like it's easier to leave right after training or before entry or whatever) before dropping it. You've already completed your training. How do you know the military won't enhance your ability to time manage and offer many lifelong experiences and insights? This may be nonsense, but is there any way you can attempt to leave then if the effects are too great (like your exemption from service isn't granted), like you experiment with this option, then return back if it isn't what you thought. Or if it is then great you are on your best path towards self-actualization, meditation, and life purpose. Or on the other side, test with the military, try your life purpose / self-improvement / meditation in the military then if it really is an extreme limit than you have direct experience If it seems like I am biased toward the military, 'm not really suggesting that I am just offering some counter ideas to think about (as you seem to be leaning toward leaving haha) for maximal understanding and perspectives on the decision. Then again treat everything I say with a grain of salt because I know close to nothing about your situation (just a broad idea and a little bit of information)
  12. @r0ckyreed Cool, I'll check them out @andyjohnsonman
  13. Hey, @Samsonov What would happen if you leave the military? What are the consequences? What are the impacts on your career, What would you do if you left the military? What are the alternatives? What would you do in the military? What would occur in your final 2 years? How could you maximize being in the military? How could you turn it into a positive? What are the benefits? What are the pros/cons of each decision? What are you leaning toward? If I had a sniper on your ass right now, decide or die 5.. 4.. 3... 2.. 1... What did you decide? How confident are you of the above decision? Have you researched this decision? Have you deeply contemplated, pondered, and journaled about this decision? What happens to others who make each decision? What happens to others in your situation? Have you deeply contemplated, pondered, and journaled about this decision? What would you want in 2 years, 5 years, 10 years, 20 years down the line? What would you regret the most? What would set you up for the best life possible? What are the options you aren't considering? What opportunities lie beyond the military vs. not military? Are there any middle options, partial options, combined options, etc.? From my assumptions of this situation (since I do barely know shit about your situation), I would say to make sure you are 80%+ certain before making a decision. As well as to stay in the military before any rash decisions, at least 2 weeks to a month after you make your decision. Haha nope still ego/identity
  14. @fridjonk Lmaooo I'm weak
  15. Well said Yeah, I see what you mean. I would say not needing this positive feedback would be more towards the ideal. What is validation? What is positive feedback? What is negative feedback? What is fame? I think focusing on being aware and mindful would be significantly helpful as it would allow them to see the thoughts and emotions that seem to consist of this need to seek validation. What is actually happening when someone is needing positive social feedback? I would say meditation, mindfulness, journaling, shadow work, contemplation are all powerful techniques to eliminate this need for positive social feedback. Some self-esteem work would probably also be needed. I want to put my feet to the fire and actually go outside (maybe when coronavirus starts to die down) and start doing crazy shit to completely eliminate any need for other's validation and approval. Also, there is a difference between validation/approval and attraction/charisma. Obviously, there is some overlap, and they may correlate and affect each other but generally, they are different, if only a subtle but critical difference. It could be defined as feeling esteemed through validation, or feeling "validated", "approved" Yeah, maybe it's that the mind has to maintain integrity. It's like either their opinions matter or they don't, you get what I mean? Yeah the only real feedback I could see others initial opinions giving are information on If they see you Your looks Your social skills (body language, facial expression, demeanor) If they talk with you Further social skills (conversation skills, voice, eye contact, verbal content, etc.) Your occupation, job, situation, opinions, etc. (Really whatever you tell them) If they "know" you Your habits, behaviors, tendencies, inner secrets, beliefs, perspectives, etc. Your the only one that is with yourself 24/7 of the time, so other than self-delusion/blindspots/consciousness the max other people know about you is maybe 40% person of the time. Depending on their level of development and insight/ability to psychoanalysis, you may give their opinion more weight, but it's really you that has the access to knowing yourself the best. And in the end, it's you giving other's the authority to dictate what you believe your worth is. Additionally, it could be helpful to realize/frame any feedback as positive, as it either shows you what you are doing well in or what you can work on (in usually low importance areas like looks, social skills). So you can see that what others know about you, especially ones that haven't talked with you is very little. They could infer a lot but most of the time, it's little. The more developed someone is, the more likely they are to adequately guess your mindset, development, understanding, etc. but even then it's like they are making guesses. There are many nuances, exceptions, perspectives, etc. but in the end, all of this is pure thought/imagination that can be eliminated by mindfulness, awareness, and increasing consciousness. As someone develops I think this becomes a non-issue. Not to say you can't enjoy a little hit of validation every once and a while haha Glad to contribute? Also, it helps to express and clarify my understanding.
  16. @r0ckyreed Glad to help Another one is CrashCourse on youtube (https://www.youtube.com/user/crashcourse). A plethora of free courses on different topics, giving an overview of the fundamentals and even going in-depth with different fields. Similarly, there is For Dummies (https://www.dummies.com/) with their books. Some further ones is the sites https://www.aworkoutroutine.com/ and http://www.acaloriecounter.com. A pair of websites that have no bullshit, straight forward content in the health/nutrition/body domain. Great introductory content and overviews into this domain. Some larger-scale mines are sources like Wikipedia and Reddit (some productive subreddits). With, these larger-scale sources, you got to be specific to find the gold. However, most in-depth (high quality) information sources don't have that much breadth. Some smaller-scale sources than the ones above would be a plethora of books, channels, teachers, courses, websites, etc. In fact, a lot of them are similar which help with cross-referencing, seeing different angles and perspectives, etc. As one does research, they can collect sources from different places. Actually, upon close inspections, I would say the idea of gold mines kind of falls apart. I think they just mean, the highest quality sources of particular domains and different multi-domain sources. Which means what would be considered a one seems few and far in between. It depends heavily on your goals as well. If you suggest your top 5 endeavors then I can give you recommendations in those fields. This forum itself has many resources (different posts as well as the whole "high consciousness resources" subsection) I would say Prioritize, Go from skimming to deep reading based on the quality, relevance, and value You don't have to read every word You have already forgotten what I wrote about earlier in this very message, that shows that it may really just be about getting the gist of it, the key ideas Read with your eyes ---> Force yourself to go faster Focus on the essential words (like nouns and verbs) For Example: "Another one is CrashCourse on youtube (https://www.youtube.com/user/crashcourse). You can even just read just part of the introduction and the conclusion, with how articles are usually structured. With how some of these forum posts are it would be crazy not to) Still, research speed reading and skimming for better information
  17. Maybe take a break Split test it Explore while you can --- the clock is ticking my nigga.
  18. Coolness seems to be pure thought/imagination Is it really the case that there is an emotion in your body called "cool"? I think the distinctions of feeling "esteemed" or "worthy" have more utility and "accuracy", due to the clear separation between thoughts/perceptions of "being desired", "being cool" and the actual emotional experience. Once separated, you can clearly see how you can change, reframe, or even evaporate these thoughts/perceptions. I tend to dislike using the term dopamine as an assessment of one's experience as it is a neurotransmitter, not an actual emotion/feeling. It's not like your looking into your brain with the proper tools like a brain scan / MRI to figure out what the exact chemistry of what is occurring. Any notion of that's dopamine is pure imagination, what you have in your direct experience are emotions/feelings not the neurotransmitter of dopamine but I digress This "coolness" we are talking about here seems to have components of What you think about yourself What you think others think about yourself The emotion/feeling is not in the situation/scenario/environment, it's due to your perception/thoughts of that environment. Yeah, the distinctions/definitions are subjective, however, because they are, I would use whichever distinctions/definitions are most useful and "accurate". Yes in that scenario due to reading their facial expressions, body language, etc. you would have a strong prediction of what they think of you. However, you are also believing (i.e thoughts/perceptions) that what they think of you is important, and then approving/validating you is good. This is not the case for all people. If someone is a gay man or another woman they might not care or put that much importance on what they think, in fact, if someone is a femme gay man, they may think it is bad that they looked back, thinking that he looks too masculine. And correspondingly feel insecure and disappointed. If someone is a secret operative, they may think it is bad, thinking it means they are too obvious and noticeable. And correspondingly feel worried and uneasy. If someone is very insecure, they may still think that they are laughing at him, think he is so amazingly ugly and weird looking. And correspondingly feel inadequate and anxious. There are probably several components to a person assessing that situation/environment/scenario as good and feeling esteemed, satisfied, etc. They think the females' opinion is important and valid They think that the females liking them (that they assessed from how they appeared) means or supports the idea that they are attractive, good looking, have swagger, or are "cool" They think that the females liking them (that they assessed from how they appeared) means they are worthy. (Usually low self-esteem people) This is likely due to them thinking they are unworthy and them thinking other people approving of them means they finally have worth. In the end, it depends on whatever thoughts/perceptions that person has. A lot of this is caring about what other people think, seeking validation, etc. I would say you shouldn't care about what other people think at all. You never ever know what other people think. You can be delusional, inaccurate in judging facial expressions and body language, fall to biases like confirmation bias or they could be lying to your face or not actually know what they truly feel. And even if you think you have a strong indicator, is what they think important at all? The majority of the time, what others think is not important. There are times when it might be best to consider what they think but it's never really best to "care" as in what they think has some sort of connection to your self-esteem. There are some related topics to consider, such as with compassion/altruism. Such as if someone is experiencing suffering and you want to help them, in a way I guess you are "caring about what they think". Again, there are other cases like when what others think provides information (feedback, clarity, shines a light on potential blind spots, etc.). There are many nuances. Yeah there is many things to consider here Are you seeking validation? Are you feeling inadequate if they don't laugh? Or Are you sharing joy? Are you aiming to become better at humor? Just amusing yourself and others with humor? I would say its problematic when you want others to laugh to approve of yourself. I see so maybe its that when caring what others think is connected to your self-esteem it becomes problematic. It means you are putting more value to what they think about you (or really what you think they think about you) than what you think about yourself. That would probably be low self-esteem (There are may be many caveats and subtle points, like what if its a mentor, what if that person knows better, etc. but I would say generally this is the case.) Validation can be Ok I guess. It's just one of those subtle (and sometimes gross) addictions. I don't know But in the end, if you are really sure of yourself do you really need validation? This is something I want to ask myself as well. I felt a bit of unease and cognitive dissonance even asking it. Yeah if someone needs others for this confidence boost I would say this is problematic. If it's some sort of social confidence, then I guess getting positive feedback would increase this social confidence. If it's connected to feeling esteemed, worthy, or adequate then I would say that needs mindful investigation Someone who is sure of themselves (and constantly reminds themselves and appreciates their worth) could be in this free feeling state a lot. Although, I would say feeling free is also (or more so) related to being connected and attune with your body, open body language, feeling calm, more at peace, etc. These are factors associated with confidence and calmness as well. Yeah, I would say this distinction/definition of "coolness" as a feeling/emotion is inaccurate and has poor utility. However, if it's understood that this feeling of "coolness" isn't coming from the situation but your assessment of that situation, kind of like the connected "cool" emotion to an assessed scenario of "coolness" then I guess it wouldn't be that problematic. These are subtle differences, but I would say you can use whatever seems most true (while also understanding the general differences between thoughts/perceptions and emotions/feelings). Here are some labels for different emotions:
  19. These seem to be the main options Find a way to make your life purpose profitable (If I were you, I would make sure it is a secure way) Aim for financial freedom (ideally through building high income-producing assets) However, more information is needed Why do you only have 1 year? What is the area of your life purpose? How much would university cost? Any scholarship or aid?
  20. The first step might be greater awareness and mindfulness (emotional awareness, thought awareness, subconscious awareness, etc.) Then you can start to evaporate these thoughts.
  21. Spread your conceptual awareness as far as possible. Always be on the lookout for valuable knowledge, information, and topics. You don't have to deep dive into everything but be aware of it, know what is it, know the fundamentals, etc. (up to increasing levels of understanding based on its relevance, quality, and value). You never know where you will find value. For example: Aim to just be aware of PewDiePie Aim to study developmental psychology significantly Do broad research, considering multiple sources Consider Google, YouTube, Reddit, Bing, Quora, Forums, Actualized.org Forum, 4Chan, Darkweb, Books, Gurus, Mentors, Other People, Discord Groups, etc. Find keywords that are high quality For example: "ultimate guide", "infographic", "list of" Find and collect the key sources that are gold mines For example: Actualized.org (for a plethora of things) Real Social Dynamics (for social skills and game) Learn the crucial skills on how to research, learn how to skim, how to read effectively and efficiently, how to take notes, etc. before investing a great deal of time in research For example: Learn to skim effectively, absorbing only the most crucial information and going more in-depth based on importance
  22. @Keyhole Wow wasn't even aware of such a thing happening in real life. That's scary. Wasn't there anything they could have done to save him? What about with today's technology? @X_X You can go watch gore sites. Although I'm not sure if it's healthy, it certainly makes me watch my back and move further onto the sidewalk when walking down the street.
  23. Here: https://boredombusted.com/definitive-list-of-hobbies-interests/ https://www.discoverahobby.com/ https://www.mantelligence.com/list-of-hobbies/ https://www.mantelligence.com/hobbies-for-women/ https://www.mantelligence.com/50-fun-hobbies-for-men/ https://hobbyhelp.com/inspiration/list-of-hobbies/ https://tlhobbyideas.com/ https://www.allpastimes.com/ https://www.artofmanliness.com/articles/hobbies-for-men/ https://www.happierhuman.com/hobbies-for-women/ https://www.busybudgeter.com/things-to-d-when-bored-ultimate-list/ https://www.aconsciousrethink.com/ https://www.aconsciousrethink.com/11857/things-to-do-when-youre-bored/ https://personaldevelopfit.com/things-to-do-when-you-are-bored/ For more, I would research (List / Ultimate list) of (fun things / hobbies / activities / fun) How to have fun Best ways to have fun (Fun / Hobby) (Statistics / Tips (Guide / Ultimate guide) to fun Extensive list of hobbies / fun / fun things to do / activties I would contemplate What is fun? What is a hobby? What are hobbies? Why pursue fun? Why do we pursue hobbies? Why do we pursue activities? Personally, some things have found fun Chess Drawing Gaming Movies I would say Fun is things that are stimulating, entertaining, and pleasant. It can be but isn't necessarily aligned with productivity, fulfillment, and happiness. It seems to be a vague, umbrella, open distinction that can include activities, purposes, hobbies, events, situations, etc. I would say its utility is limited as there is a difference between what is the most fun and what are the highest quality experiences. Sometimes the endeavors and needs, considered higher, like learning, flow states, meditation, etc. are not really "fun" but are still worthwhile. Fun can range from taking heroin to following your life purpose. It's a funny distinction.
  24. @Thewritersunion Well, the United Kingdom still has a monarch. And other places around the world seem to have one aswell. It doesn't seem that special https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Constitutional_monarchy
