I'm looking for new fun things to try out, because honestly I'm not good at having fun.

Let's make an ultimate list of fun things to do to inspire ourselves  

What's top on your personal list? What's your unique way to have fun?

 

My personal favourites are:

- cooking and Middle Eastern cuisine

- listening to progressive metal music

- reading science fiction novels that broaden my perspective (like Philip K. Dick)

I would say

• Fun is things that are stimulating, entertaining, and pleasant. It can be but isn't necessarily aligned with productivity, fulfillment, and happiness. It seems to be a vague, umbrella, open distinction that can include activities, purposes, hobbies, events, situations, etc. I would say its utility is limited as there is a difference between what is the most fun and what are the highest quality experiences. Sometimes the endeavors and needs, considered higher, like learning, flow states, meditation, etc. are not really "fun" but are still worthwhile. Fun can range from taking heroin to following your life purpose. It's a funny distinction.
