  3. @Mikael89 Haha, all i have to offer is a garden gnome in a meditation posture, hope thats not too evil. Im not asking you to look at what the brain is from someone elses perspective, you have your own brain, use it to figure out what the brain is.
  4. Asking what something is is circumvention? Youre putting words in my mouth, i never said the brain is an illusion. I asked you to look deeper at what the brain is. ?? Namaste ?
  5. Therefore it is not real, only in the mind. When you say, i am not the body, who decides that? when you say i am the body, who decides that? Contemplate this deeply if you will.
  6. 1 hour and 10 mins of Strong Determination Sitting But it doesnt matter how long it is, I get more peace from 10 mins of deep meditation than 1 hour of pure monkeymind. Better to just be regular about it than to try reach some Guinness Sage Record.
  7. @Outer ”Im” prompted to go into deeper looking. Thanks Outer!
  8. Man, its better to be a convicted mob-boss than a bum on the street, atleast you get a nice suite.
  9. Chogyam Trungpa was drunk of his ass most of the time, but that doesnt matter, the question is; is it a hindrance to you?
  10. Looking at what you are until you realize you are whats looking.
  11. The majority of what youve learned about life and reality is hearsay and inference.
  12. I dont know/nothing/nowhere/unintelligble/brain breaks down/ego cant grasp same shit
  13. It was an example, you might as well ask; where did I come from? Honestly, not through inference, where did you come from? If youre honest youd say you came from/out of nothing too.
  14. Nomatter how you slice it, there is no ground for the existence of the universe, what was here before the big bang, a singularity, well what was here before the singularity, a multiverse, where did the multiverse come from? on and on and on and on and on.........
  15. I dont see any problem with this channel, I like his vibe, the information his presents is useful if YOU APPLY IT in your life.
  16. Where exactly do you have free will? Check throughout your body. Inner organs? Not ruled by you Thoughts? Not ruled by you Growth and decay of body? Not ruled by you Breathing, heart rate, BP? Not ruled by you Volition? A tricky one... ruled by emotion and thought... which in turned are not ruled by you... Where exactly do we have free will? Unsure... A worthwhile contemplation.
  17. @egoless I appreciate the fact that you implore us to take a more critical view of what meditation is. Everything should be investigated before it is indulged in, even something as harmless as meditation.
  18. A Trump thread would turn into an endless ideological debate and does not belong on a Self-Actualization forum, a few comments here and there is okay, but an entire thread? something fishy and egoic about that. Find the Trump inside you instead.
  19. No, no, no, such a distraction!
  20. Whitehead was quoted as saying: "Every scientific man in order to preserve his reputation has to say he dislikes metaphysics. What he means is he dislikes having his metaphysics criticized."[77] In Whitehead's view, scientists and philosophers make metaphysical assumptions about how the universe works all the time, but such assumptions are not easily seen precisely because they remain unexamined and unquestioned. While Whitehead acknowledged that "philosophers can never hope finally to formulate these metaphysical first principles,"[78] he argued that people need to continually re-imagine their basic assumptions about how the universe works if philosophy and science are to make any real progress, even if that progress remains permanently asymptotic. For this reason Whitehead regarded metaphysical investigations as essential to both good science and good philosophy.[79] I dont know much about Whitehead but atleast he hit the nail on the head here.
