  1. Look into organ meats and homemade chicken broth. In my culture (Portugal), we make chicken noodle soup with organ meats from the chicken, so chicken liver, kidneys, and heart. They're delicious and packed with nutrients; although it could be an acquired taste if you are not used to it. In addition, chicken broth has nutrients like collagen and support immunity.
  2. I just got mine Ladies and Gentlemen! I got the Moderna. Feels good!
  3. What do you think actually happens after enlightenment? “Before enlightenment, chop wood, carry water. After enlightenment, chop wood, carry water.” If a person gets enlightened, in one moment, they experience eternity, they become one, and then ZOOM right back into the nature of the body to continue experiencing the world as a part of the whole. You already are the whole and the part. so my questions for you is what do you think happens to someone when the part realizes it is whole? What behavior do you imagine they carry out? Are we supposed to go brain dead and just lay in cave somewhere? for what purpose? if the part is already whole, then the playing the part is being whole.
  4. Jesus Christ. Because Jesus Christ is the most balanced humble teacher I know. The words in the gospel, ring deeply true in my inner being, it is so clean and pure, and more wise than all gurus I've learned about. there's no judgment. no rant, it's non-dual, and psychedelic. It is simple and graceful, yet firm like the being of God. It is also possible he was a shaman if you believe in the gospel of Thomas and the findings of Psychedelic Gospel. edit: I agree with @Forestluv & @oMarcos. There are too many enlightened beings and they all become one in the end, so creating a separation is just more ego games. Jesus Christ is just my preferred form. I have been just as lifted by the words of Rumi, Ibn Arabi, St. Francis of Assisi, Leo Gura, Osho, The Beatles, and more. It all comes from the same place.
  5. that's what they all say. You will just have to go deeper in your interpersonal discussion of Truth if they are willing, or else it will just be a model/belief battle ground. I have been attacked for quoting saints, man because it's not biblical. People who actually followed Jesus and devoted their life to God. I just let it go and recognize everyone is on their own path, and it all leads to the same place.
  6. You're speaking to individuals who have adopted an ideology first before having a mystical experience. In my experience, If you're trying to get on common ground, you'd have to speak their language. " Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love." - 1 John 4:7-21 I agree with you, by the way. You are speaking of the perennial philosophy.
  7. Then eat meat. There is no solid evidence to suggest that meat is unhealthy OR that Veganism is the healthiest optimal diet for humans. There is solid evidence that meat (which is filled with fats) contributed to human brain development. There is evidence that a Vegan diet DOES NOT provide necessary nutrients like b12, Vitamin A, DHA & EPA; and additional nutrients like creatine, carnosine, taurine, and more that participate in your well-being. And Vegans will tell you, that you can supplement away all of these nutrients. So go ahead and do that if you think that's the wisest way to live.
  8. I think you guys are zooming in on his outlandish rhetoric and are missing his concern. I did not watch the whole video, I'll probably check it out since its an interesting topic, but scrolling through the beginning, there is some truth and validity to be concerned about the rite of passage for boys in the US society. For Stage Green approach/explanation:
  9. What if I told you that Junko Furuta is her own torturer and her torturer is Junko Furuta?
  10. haha brilliant description of closed eyed visuals. I think when people are talking about light, they are talking about awareness itself. At least that's what I call the Light.
  11. Man, what I love is how you showcase the power of psychedelics. I've seen a few posts on here of people downplaying the power of psychedelics, reducing it to a "drug", or a flashy experience. And here you are. All I can say is that, this trip report is awesome and I can definitely relate with realizing one is alone and the creator of everything.
  12. I understand what you mean man. I just listen to Tony Robbins clips on YouTube if I need that hype in my life. If you have a streaming service, I have apple music, you can find albums of him talking about how to live your life higher, and it really works for me.
  13. I say yes. I am biased because I want to have family. However it is MORE challenging path. How will it help someone on a self-actualization journey? I do not have children, but my observation is: Having children challenges parents to demonstrate their unconditional love and work with someone smaller and weaker. As a result, a parent builds skills related to interaction, teaching, and loving. As a parent, someone now looks up to you, so now you can't just talk to talk, you have to walk the talk. There are human experiences that can only be had with a child you raised. Think of sex. You don't NEED sex to be self-actualized and realize God. Can it help? Yes. You don't need to do anything, you can literally isolate yourself til you die, realize God and be good. However cracking jokes with your brothers is still a joyous time and it helps staying focused with your life purpose. It is also much more challenging because you are held to a higher standard. You got a partner and children and they will notice all of your "sins", so you are now more accountable. This is much easier to avoid if you live alone. If you live alone, you could ice cream naked on the couch and its all good. No real environmental circumstances that will encourage one to build virtuous characteristics which lead to a higher quality life. ----- To me, having children and a family equals a meaningful life/ or adds more meaning to one's life. If having a family was not in cards for me, I'd probably become Franciscan or something. What is the point of having a lucrative position or big house if you cannot even share with someone you love with all of your heart? completely pointless.
  14. That's what shocks you? It's not just that science is imaginary, your whole life is, and that includes science . Science is a paradigm which is by definition a model and/or a thought. And thoughts are what? It's like wind blowing through my hands to me.
  15. I am a musician and pursue seriously as a hobby, and even a life purpose just not as a way to make money. I just really enjoy music and am slowly improving at it. Playing the guitar on psychedelics is incredible and I actually play very sporadic and open, I mess around with volume, rhythm, and am not afraid to add weird sounds. I'll sort of forget all the music theory and at the same time, notice how intricate and amazing music is. I'll play for maybe about 30-60mins on the come up, and/or after the peak. Making music is another thing and it depends on what you mean. If you mean, I sit down with an audio workstation, record guitar riffs, and work on a drum track. I mean it's just too much to do and focus on, unless I am at the end of the trip, I could work on something during that period. When I reach the peak it becomes too much and I end up putting my guitar down because I'd rather just let go.
  16. Being vulnerable is fine, if you're using the narrative as yourself as a way to connect closer to someone. It improves both individuals understanding of each other, that is how you differentiate. If you are using it as a way to garner sympathy, self-validation, and extra perks (like refusing to take responsibility for self-care and having someone else do it for you) then it becomes selfish and often leads to awful behavior.
  17. I utilize a planner and journal. I find that writing is a powerful to prioritize what you really want, and self-reflects on a level that is impossible with ordinary contemplation. So practically, I've begun to wake up and immediately jump to my planner. I essentially, have a relationship with my planner and I look at it as a guide to living a happy functional life. Before this, I have already written down and defined, in my mind or on paper, why I am doing this or that. So my morning routine has been, wake up, meditate for 10 minutes, and then sit with my journal, notice what is there, remember why I wrote it down, and I have sessions of journaling backing up the process of taking action. I also look at my planner before bed, write what I have to do for the next day, to motivate and stay focused for the following day. In addition: I occasionally walk about 4 miles to my local park, write poetry, think, meditate, listen to music, but it's all in a sense to empower myself and feel centered. My favorite day to assess my life goals is Sunday. I identify as Christian, so to me it's a day to reflect deeply about my place in the universe. TL:DR. Sunday is my day to deeply think and schedule my life goals. I use 5 minutes at the beginning and ending of my day to re-focus myself with daily goals.
  18. In my experience, It's by asking yourself a series of questions when you are a clear state of mind. It's a combination of a vision, asking yourself what you want, your interests, and what you find joy doing. Also, Leo does have a life purpose course and it sounds like you might benefit.
  19. Yes. I do know exactly what you mean. Talking to others is a way of experiencing/know yourself, so it feels very fulfilling as a human.
  20. +1. The right diet, is one that is balanced and maximizes how you feel. Try out different foods.
  21. Disciplining yourself is way more rewarding and enlightening, in my experience. Have you decided on a Life purpose?
  22. Yes, it is helpful. Having children will challenge and help grow your ability to love. So will having a marriage.
