A bit of a departure from the original idea of documentaries, but here's a resource that allows to stream local live TV from 100+ countries, dozens of channels per. No ads and other nonsense, there's even a randomizer feature. A lot can be understood about a culture from their TV, even if you don't speak the language at all; it's a somewhat different approach with its unique advantages and limitations.
