What if I buy Notebook 2010 on my laptop and it gets destroyed(Commonplace Book)

Okay so OneNote 2010,  it is saved locally. Can I copy all of the software along with the data onto another computer as a back up and as a future transfer as my computer ages . If not, then what am I missing?

Is there not an export button somewhere?

Its ages since I’ve used OneNote but all software like this almost always has an “Export” button somewhere that lets you save it to a file which you can backup wherever you want

It would be good to get something like Macrium Reflect and a second drive. You can do auto back ups of your entire pc contents regularly and automatically.

It's no different than backing up a Word or Excel document.

Use Notion, if you can easily port your notes into it.

@Leo Gura @Average Investor  Point I am concerned about is that OneNote uses a one time code in order to validate the software. How do I know that once I redownload OneNote onto my new laptop along with the backed up files, it wont ask for the code again, and if it does , it won't say that it has already been used.....
