Is it a good idea to dm a girl as soon as she shows interests and is flirty

6 posts in this topic

My brain is overly logical and i think ive struggled so much as ive tried to model socialisation rather than taking action and just wasted time, looking for the perfect opportunity or the perfect sign. If someone is showing interests after have been  chatting for a bit in person I feel now its best just to go for it and message her otherwise she'll get bored. I dont mean it in an overly imposing way just to test the waters and chat. Would be interesting to hear womens opinions on the matter.

First decide if she is the kind of woman you really want. Otherwise it's a waste of time.

Be careful being too demanding in relationships. Relate to the person at the level they are at, not where you need them to be.

Depends on what the setting is, if you're gonna see her over and over its generally better to be a bit less forward with your approach(like if it's at school/work) whereas if you're not close to her/not gonna see her again then might as well shoot your shot full on.

There's a fine line between shooting your shot and coming across as 'too keen'. If you don't want to wait a day, wait a couple of hours in my opinion. If you message straight away it's going to depict that you're already invested, without any uncertainty, which, can either work for you, or against you.

Be yourself. Don't overthink it. Feel like writing? Write. Don't feel like it? Don't. Let go of trying to control the outcome and just have fun with the process.

Now here's the paradox: if you let go of the outcome hoping that it will get you the outcome you want, can you see that you are still trying to control the outcome? It's one of those "problems" that's impossible to solve.

In my experience, the best advice I can give you is to have fun. If you're having fun, girls will be more drawn to you.
