Unless my reading of society is upside down, isn't it usually us men who want to throw our hard-earned money at 'beautiful'? Hmmm.... maybe someone should link this thread up with the one on universal healthcare - I'm pretty sure that a well-designed beauty tax would cover the costs...

A Tax for having superior genes, we would be once again bending the laws of natural selection in order to suit human egos and ease and satisfy the spiritual emptiness of people suffering from envy, vanity, and an inferiority complex.

This is basically exactly the same as the plot of Aldous Huxley's Brave New World sci-fi novel and I fail to see how is this a separate series from that plot and narrative wise, they actually made a remake of the Brave New World series on Netflix a year or so ago, that I haven't watched.

I have not watched the series as well. Seems interesting, will put it on my list.
